I'm currently using an eGo-T 650 (which I really enjoy vaping on) and am looking to sort of upgrade/extra PV. I've been looking into the eGo Twist which seems to have a huge following.

Any advice as to which PV I should look into, as well as merchants? Also can anyone recommend a good beginner tank, or should I start with a clearomizer?

Thanks ECF!

There are a few questions you should ask yourself first...

1) What are your requirements for form factor?
2) What are your requirements for size?
3) Is there anything you would like to improve about your vaping experience?
4) Is there mainly one juice you vape all the time, or do you regularly use a couple of juices?

The are options ranging from box mods to tube mods...
Top feeders, bottom feeders, and tanks...
And then of course there is variable voltage...

The answers to your questions can help narrow down what you should be looking for.

The term Clearomizer seems to apply these days to Any Carto that has a Clear Tube on it.

Which Clearo did you have in mind? And what type of hit do you like?

Warm, Most and Flavorfull? (Top Coil Design)

Cooler, Drier and more Muted? (Bottom Coil Design)

Something in between?

And how much do you like to Fiddle with things?

1) What are your requirements for form factor? I like something that I think is visually appealing, but also something that isn't to big. A friend has a darwin, and while it works great I think it looks terrible and would never vape it in public. I can always use my Ego-t 650 in public though.

2) What are your requirements for size? I like the size of the provari and the size of the ego twist, so somewhere around there.
3) Is there anything you would like to improve about your vaping experience? The vape in general. VV would be nice because I could find the perfect voltage that works for me.

4) Is there mainly one juice you vape all the time, or do you regularly use a couple of juices? I like to have a couple juices but when I find something I like I tend to stick with it all day. Right now I'm vaping triple rainbow from vapor cast and athena from posiedon vaping.

Right now I'm looking at the provari though it is a tad expensive for my taste, but if it's something that's going to last then I could consider it a solid investment. I am still lost when it comes to these things as I've only been using cartos and have no experience with tanks or atomizers (aside from my prosmoke which has ....ty attys).

If I might make a suggestion...

Seems like you want a PV that will both be an improvement over the eGo...tho a big change doesn't seem to be what you are looking for and it also needs to be visually pleasing. The wood mods from Lewis Gentry are reall nice looking mods and work very well. These are eGo connections which I call multi volt, they switch from 3.3 volts up to 4.2 in steps by clicking the power button. The are available through Electronic Cigarette Wood Mods and there is also a forum here for the. They are custom made to order with you picking the type of wood, whether or not you want a matching cone or even a matching tank. I love mine and it gets more comments from non smokers and non vapers than any other mod I own. Mine is Box Elder Burl btw and uses a 18650 battery...

Based on your answers I would say you should get an Ego Twist for now.
it will work with the equipment you already have, and it is most definitely a step up in performance.

Until you know which juice delivery option you prefer, it is hard to do much more than that.

The big question is whether or not you'll like tanks/cartomizers, dripping, or some kind of juice feeding system.
So after you figure out which juice delivery method you prefer, you can make an informed decision.

Options like top feeders and bottom feeders may be something that would interest you down the road, or maybe not.

Great response to my question. Thank you.

As far as delivery system I have no complaints on Boge cartos that I've been using, although I feel like I'm hurting myself by not branching out.

I am a big fan of the Vivi nova tank, just make sure you get V2 or higher. I also like the Vision ego/Stardusts with replaceable heads, they use the same heads as the vivi.

I am not a fan of anything CE2 or CE3, now there are a ton of people who love them, but they require some fiddling with to get them to work great, and I dont like to dink with my vape gear, I just want it to work out of the box.

As far as devices I dont have a ego-twist, but I want one, everyone who has one says they work great, and I have seen many trusted youtube reviewers give them high marks. If a provari is out of your price range, its out of mine.

Maybe try a Lavatube? They are VV, come in a full size with an 18650 battery, any they also have the Lavatube Mini, which is smaller, here is a link to one, but if you decide to order one check the lavatube forum here on ECF for hte best vendor to go though as there are different versions from different Chinese manufactures.

Random vendor who caries lavatube....

You're not hurting yourself by not branching out from your Boge cartos as long as you're happy with your Boge cartos. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Exactly.

My thoughts are get a Atty/Carto/Tank or what ever that works for you and buy a Couple of weeks worth.

Now you have a tried and true way to vape. And something that when all else seems to fail, you can reach for and know it works.

Once you have a supply of working Attys/Cartos/Tank/etc the maybe try branching out and buying a 5 pack of this or a 5 pack of that.

I think one of the biggest reasons people get frustrated with e-Cigs and possible go bck to Analogs is they get caught for a period with Nothing that works.

By always having your Tried and True Carto/Atty/Tank to fall back to, this doesn't happen.

Same goes for e-Liquids.

I would nerver try a New Flavor if I didn't have a supply of e-Liquid that I know I like. That was if the New e-Liquid arrives and I Hate it, I can just toss it and move on.

Honestly, i'd suggest a buzz pro. Theyre right in the middle of the price range and they work awesomely well. I have one and haven't had any issues with it for almost a year now. They're so good that 4 of my other friends have one.

Another friend recently got an ego twist and while it is incredibly impressive that you can get a vv device for $30 these days, you absolutely get what you pay for. I was shocked that his twist 900 is longer than my buzz or my other friends provari. Its super long once you pop anything larger than an atty on there. Im also not a fan of the voltage adjustment wheel at all either, it's difficult to turn and hard to see where it's set.

These days I'm of the opinion that it's better to spend more money once, rather than a little bit on a bunch of "step up" devices.

After over a year of vaping I just tried my first CE style clearo, and they're great when they work right. They definitely require fiddling, but the vape is pretty good and they're cleanable and reuseable.

I HIGHLY suggest though, once Ikenvape opens back up - get a 510=>801 adapter and try his 801 fusion cartos. These days I have no idea what to suggest to people for cartos because all the cartos from china suck right now, but the 801 fusions are the best carto I have ever used to date and everyone in their vaping career needs to try them. They're that good. I'd also suggest an M1A1 carto tank from notcigs - they're fairly priced, easy to refill and won't slide off the carto like a lot of the other cheaper tanks out there.

Don't you think it would be a good idea to find out if they even like vaping before spending a bunch of money?
You will want to have a backup PV anyway, and a person is better off learning on a less expensive PV. That way if the screw it up, it's no big deal.
