New Atty and... it pops

Just switched to a new atty and it "pops". Tried a 3 second dry burn and saw/heard it pop with a little tiny puff of smoke or vapor. Is this normal? Tried to clean/burn the primer off, tried to clean the atty (with water), still pops. Other attys don't seem to have that issue. Can someone with more than my 1 week (or so) of experience tell me if this is uncommon?

In the meantime, I will try cleaning it again and just use a different atty.

P.S. It's a 510 SLB

I've got one that does that and it is one of the ones that produces the most vapor.

The 6 authentic joye's I have owned so far have all done that when first vaping. After a while it stops and I agree that they all produce very good vapor and throat hit.

My VERY BEST cartomizers sound like pop-rocks when I vape them. Not just to me, but others also apparently. Sure can't stealth vape, they start crackling, and everyone around me looks at me like I am crazy.

I loooooooove popping atty's!! I get the most intense flavor and vapor when my atty pops. Oh, heck. I'm addicted to the pops. I live for the pops (as I sit here vaping for the pops)

My girlfriend said that no one at work would be surprised to see smoke rolling off my head.... Thats great for stealth vaping....
