New Battery Charger

I am shopping around for a new battery charger to have as a spare just incase my current one fails.

I am considering one of these....
Efest LUC Smart Charger
JetBeam i4 Pro Intellicharger

I like the JetBeam as it can charge 4 batteries at the same time. But I notice that it does not cater for 18350 batteries. It will charge most batteries from a tiny AAA to a huge 26650, except 18350.

Would it be possible to charge an 18350 battery on the JetBeam?

Cheers.

If it can charge 16340's, it can charge 18350's

I have always like the Nitecore chargers...but recently I have heard a few disparaging remarks...even though I have heard 10x the GOOD remarks about them

I just got an Xtar VP-1 and I'm very impressed, so far anyway. FasTech has it for under $32, with shipping at the moment. It doesn't do NiCD or NiMH batteries and only has two bays, but it is algorithm specific for lithium ion and does an excellent job of recharging them. I use it on 18350 and 18650 batteries with no problem.

Vapdad, apologies I saw you ask this question on AVF and meant to comment. As WarHawk said, if it can charge 18650's and 16340's, then it can charge 18350's. I've got one coming and intend using it for 500's, 650's and 350's. Just be aware also if you do get one, that the plug on it is not AU so you will need to grab an adapter from DSE or somewhere similar.

The Intellicharger's are getting too many bad reports on ECF lately for me to suggest them. The most recent report - guess what? They don't even have reverse polarity protection. Put a battery in backwards and it kills a channel.

The efest looks nice but it's so new I don't know how it's doing out in the field.

If that's a genuine xtar vp1 on fasttech that's a great price on a great charger.

In theory maybe. In the real world? Perhaps not so much:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/464435-keep-intellicharger-i4-plugged.html

"When I received the intellicharger i4 I accidentally put the battery in reverse and fried one of the slots , that slot does not work any longer ( will not charge battery ) but, the other three slots work fine ..."

There's a lot of things - in theory - that an Intellicharger shouldn't do either.

Did it have the (working...) authentication sticker / code? That is a pretty good deal. The best price I've found is $40, and only if you can catch a 20% off sale.

Beats me, I paid more for mine, off of eBay, and got it over a week ago. Mine does have the "authentication" scratch-off code. I will say if I had known about the price on FasTech and wasn't in a big rush, my cheapie died, I wouldn't have hesitated to order from them. But that's just me.

Ah.. Gotcha. I thought you meant you'd ordered yours from FastTech.
I'd probably do it as well; it seems they have a reputation for offering genuine merchandise when it's labeled as such, even if it is grey market stock.

G'day,

I contacted the seller and was informed that the charger will come with an AU plug and lead (at my request).

Cheers.
