New battery not charging

Fitted a new EGO-T smaller battery to a new charger and it wouldn't charge.

Bought a new charger as I thought my other one was knackered after about 2 months use. Thought it had also knackered one of my batteries so bought a new one, though the one supplied is about half an inch shorter. Tried to charge it, and the blue light on the switch stays on, and although the charger light turns to red it does not pulse like it does with the other batteries.

Any ideas as to the problem ?

Think my device is the pencil design with clear chamber. Is it called a shisha pipe or something?

Yes, have dropped it back in the store where I bought it from.

It worked, then the blue light flashed repeatedly to indicate it was losing steam, but just wont charge, at least not in the same way as my other batteries.

Does anybody else have these batteries , and is it normal for the blue battery light to remain on whilst being charged ?

Thanks

ignore them flashing lights or steady blue light..all then cheap clone batteries do that ..I have a bunch that do that and work fine...as long as it still charges and turns green after 2-5 hours , you're all set..and clean the end with a Q tip or paper towel and get any juice or black carbon stuff out of there..and NEVER overtighten the battery to the charger. ..hand tighten very gently..
