Hello to everyone!

I would just like to share my initial swing from analog to digital.

It all started...

When I was listening to Q101(Chicago Illinois Radio Station). They kept on repeating the "Smoke Assassin" commercial. It never really caught my interest, but as a smoker for over 20 years (Yes I started very young) it stuck somewhere in the back of my head.

Flash forward a little. Bowling at the alley one of the co-owners that I know blew smoke in my face, I almost hit the floor. He then immediately explained to me that it was a "Smoke Savior". I was given the 800 number.(No I never called.)

Flash forward again.. I like doing research. So I nailed the internet with 4 hours of full force reading. All the "smoke..XXX" names were plastered all over the complaintboards.com..etc. I continued my research and came across MoobyGhost's noob videos, this forum, and nu-vapor.com

Sooo much information, so much anticipation.. .

Now, so you understand, I *LOVE* smoking. I am in no way considering quitting. Truth is I was looking for an indoor alternative, as I do NOT smoke in my own house. I was very intrigued by the fact there was so many tastes, volumes of vapor, various throat hit levels, and nicotine amounts to choose from, along with all the nifty e-cigs for vaping with.

I was basically in love with the whole concept and the community so I dove in. I purchased a 510, a passthrough and I have several e-juices on the way as well. Now.. the 510 is already here, and the initial reactions are most certainly excellent. I'm enjoying it.

I can say, in earnest, I'm hooked. It fills my oral and hand fixation, and I truly believe this will most certainly replace my analog addiction.

I don't know what to say other then, vape on!

I'm hooked!

D.Wood

PS. Thank you to MoobyGhost for your fine video's and time with the community your walkthroughs were of great assistance as were your fine suggestions!

PPS. Another huge thank you to DonDaBoomVape for your guides. I didn't get to these first, my order was already in, but my initial research put me well in line and your guides confirmed and built my confidence, so thank you kindly, sir!

Drummel, big welcome! All noobs should read your excellent post. You got interested, but didn't buy until you had researched PVs well, and managed to excape the in-your-face ripoff artists that plaster their crap all over the place. You made an excellent choice in the 510, for sure. IMHO it is the best first PV, as it is great right out of the box, but requires some learning and is finicky enough that you will learn many of the ins and outs of vaping keepiing it working properly.

Immerse thyself in the Joye 510 forum under Model-Specific discussions, and you will learn a whole lot more. Consider also getting a PCC charging case and a USB passthrough if you are online a lot. Both a must for the 510 user.

Keep us informed of your vaping success! :)

Welcome aboard mate, so glad you found what is probably the bestest ex-tobacco burning group in the whole world. Vapers Rock :p I started smoking at 8yrs of age and am 52 now so yeah been killing myself a long time,,, now i look forward to cleaning out my lungs, and getting healthier without the psycho killer attitude i got every time i tried to quit, loving my PV and this community

Kurt - Actually I purchased the passthrough with my first order. That was a huge appeal to me since I'm glued to my computer usually 6 hours+ a day.

Skyspider - I must give you props. That's a looooong time to be smoking and to find a new source. *hats off* I, myself, started smoking at 11, I'm almost 33 now. Now I know I'm still young enough, but it just feels like it's time for an alternative. And who can pass up a community like this, eh?

I vaped for 6 hours yesterday Thursday Feb 11, 2010. I woke up Today, Friday Feb 12, 2010 and started going through my old motions. I got in the car and while it was warming up I light an analog. Honest to God I thought it fairly revolting after my smooth experience the previous night with my PV, so after a quick drag it was smothered to death. I pulled my PV out of my pocket and started vaping. I *NEVER* dreamed my transition would be so short. I'm very comfortable with my 510 and the accessories already.

Now I have had cravings, but I've been able to successfully curb them with my PV and any flavor. I have a range from 12mg-24mg nic. On the advice of many users to keep an open mind and find the right levels to be in. I really have no desire to smoke, I truly just want to sit back and vape.

This is in closing for now. I sit back and take a nice draw on my Mocha Mint Coffee and smile. To vaping and it's wonderful community. I'm hooked, and I'm happy.

-- On a side note. I didn't yawn at all while working this morning. Normally I do quite often. I felt more awake.. that *to me* is a sign of clean vapes (versus dirty chemical filled smoke) If anyone ever said it was bad, I'd have to disagree. I feel TONS better vaping. *cheers*
