A few years back, I bought a Smoking Everywhere Gold kit at, where else, a kiosk in a mall. I went for the whole shebang at that kiosk; complete kit plus a spare battery, 5-6 boxes of cartridges, car charger, the carry case, everything but the T-shirt.. They worked well for me, I was satisfied with everything...until battery #1 would not hold a charge. "No prob, lifetime warranty" I said to myself. I went back to the kiosk (about 7 months after purchase) and was told the "lifetime warranty" would only be honored with the ORIGINAL receipt ! Oh, I could buy a new battery, etc... Needless to say, they got no more of my money. Ran out of cartridges, ran out of interest. Went back to my regular smokes. Fast forward to today, I went online and ordered a new kit from Green Smokes. I know (from reading here) there are a lot of pros/cons of Green Smoke, but I think it'll work for me. I know myself; I will NOT be filling up my own cartridges, I will NOT be making my own juice. To be honest, I don't have that kind of time. I may have questions from time to time (such as; why can't I start a new paragraph in this post ? "Enter" does nothing...) Reading the posts so far have been REAL informative. When I started vaping a few years back, it was all new, none of this existed.

Keep fighting the good fight mudpie, you'll find what works for you. I started with the same kit you did and have moved on quite a bit since that kit over 2 years ago. Vaping is such a personal experience on taste and personal impression, there's so much out there it can be mind boggling at times. I do however highly agree with uncle sam, the ego's are a great kit/setup for a no hassle recipe of nicotine ingestion.

I guess I should've given a little "backstory" in my first post...sorry.

I started smoking at the age of 30 (beyond the "you know better" stage of life). I am now 51. I've totally quit several times (3-4, if memory serves), shortest period 9 months, longest 1 year. When I re-started, I had none of the typical "why I failed" stories; no traumatic life episodes, no drinking with the buddies stories, etc. I just started again, because, well, I like smoking.

I went through high school and the Marines with a cigarette never touching my lips. In fact, I was the idiot all smokers hated. Poured beer in the ashtrays at bars, made the squish-face and fanned my face whenever anyone's smoke came anywhere NEAR me. When my childhood friends came to Texas to attend my wedding (I'm originally a Long Islander) and saw me standing outside smoking, I got all the finger pointing and wide-eyed exclamations of "YOU ??". Yep, me.

But I know the damage it causes. My mother and father both died from smoking. Granted, I never smoked anywhere near the amount they did, they were both 3-pack a day smokers. I smoke about 10-15 cigs a day. Semantics, I know, but it's the logic I used. I know they're bad for you.

I know vaping is not truly "quitting" smoking. A change, sure, but not quitting. As I said, I like smoking. When my e-cigs arrive, I've come up with a new plan. With my last set, I took a puff whenever I wanted, simply because I could. Nanner-nanner-boo-boo, there ain't nothing you can do. So I think I "smoked" more. No elevator rides to the first floor to go stand outside. No planning a break. Just puff away.

With this new yet to be delivered set, I plan on following my regular routine; go outside to "smoke".

I'll let you all know how it goes.

I tried to follow my old smoking habits at first. But it was just too pleasurable to sit-n-vape inside for the first time in 20+ years. Then I began going through carts 2-3 times as fast as the 1 cart = pack claims. My savings were going up in vapor! I knew I needed to move refillables to gain the windfall I wanted from switching. That's when I got off the cartomizer wagon. If you can stick to your plan you'll do OK.

Well, got them in last nights mail. I ordered my Green Smoke kit on Sunday night, in my hands Thursday. Not too bad at all and that's with the free shipping ! I assumed being it was the free shipping option, it'd take a week or better to get here. Kudos to Green Smoke on the speedy delivery.

I opened my kit (the Ultimate Kit) and the initial presentation was great; nice box, the way the items stored, etc.. But I wasn't going to get too excited about the packaging, because this was the last time they'll ever SEE that box again. But it was much nicer than them coming wrapped in bubble-wrap, etc..

Put on a cart, held it to my lips and did a short, slow inhale. Exhale, and smoke came out. A good amount, but not too great. Took another hit, even more on the exhale. Took a normal hit, exhaled, wow that's a lot of smoke ! Makes my Smoking Everywhere kit look like it never worked.

So far, day 1 without tobacco. But I have to pace myself. Like most everyone else has mentioned, the ability to puff away is too great. I caught myself pulling it from my pocket, take a couple hits and put I away. All day.

Liking it all so far. I can't say I'm still in the "novelty" stage of it, as I've done this all before. But this Green Smoke set up is light years ahead of my 2008/09 era Smoking Everywhere e-cig.

I fully realize the vaporous "smoke" exhaled from my GS has nothing to do with the nic-delivery, but that huge cloud just feels so....right.

I also may start trying different flavors. I, too, was in the same frame of mind as any other newbies; it HAD to be a direct replacement of my normal cigarette. The different flavor options out there have intrigued me, thanks to all the posts from members telling of their favs.

Many thanks to all on this forum, I had no idea ANY of these things existed, much less a forum to discuss such. I thought the only e-cig out there was the mini "cigarette clone" type. How little I knew !!
