As you increased the VG percentage to 75, the PG percentage dropped to 25. PG + VG can never be more than 100%.
PG + VG can be less than 100%. Your PG is sitting at 25% and you dropped the VG to 70%. You have the "VG Precedence" checked which is like saying that you want to use extra VG to fill the recipe up to its 100% mark. Because PG is at 25%, any VG setting between 0 and 75% will result in a 75% VG mixture. The summary area (results) will show you the final percentages of the recipe.
The calculator saved your recipe and recalculated it the same way when redisplayed. I would be concerned if the calculator didn't calculate it the same every time.
It is expected as described above. With it unchecked it works like every other calculator.
The sole purpose of the volume calculation is to tell you exactly what your resulting mixture is. It won't tell you that you have an 20/80 PG/VG mix if you added 10% water, it will tell you that you have a 20/70 PG/VG mix. You won't have to figure out why your VG based juice is thinner than expected. The formulas used are:EDIT: I see after re-reading your message that the VG/PG percents will adjust only when their sum is > 100%. Ok... I guess that's what I'm seeing. I guess as long as I have Volume Calculation unchecked I'm good. I realize this isn't a beginner's program, but it seems that with Vol. Calc. check marked as the default, newbies to the program (like me) may encounter this and be confused.
EDIT2: With "Volume Calculation" checked, The VG/PG percentage behavior that I'm dwelling on can be avoided by only INCREASING percentages of either VG or PG, never decreasing them. As long as I remember to do that, everything updates and stays in sync, so to speak. I think I'll leave Vol. Calc. check marked.Sorry to belabor this. I like the program a lot! Thanks.
I am working on a change that will list all recipes in a grid and allow you to easily copy the recipes and their values and paste into another application, such as notepad.
It could be done but it might conflict with another option. There is an option to update the last made date when a recipe is printed.
No problem. I'm still able to get the actual mix date on the label by using the Literal value field and typing it in.
When you use the portable setup you want to make sure that you change the location of where the calculator is installed. You could change it to your OneDrive folder. The computer you are installing it from will place the appropriate shortcut icon on your desktop. From other computers that share the OneDrive account, just create a shortcut pointing to the executable file on the mounted OneDrive.
Can you send me some details of the crash? When the exception occurs it should display a window giving you the option to click a details button. Would you take some screen shots of the details and send them to me (email or private message). Also, what screen were you on and what was the last thing you did prior to the crash?
I have made a change that will be available in the next version. You will still enter vendors in the shopping list like you do today however the program will remember previously entered vendors. The vendor field will be a dropdown list. You can either select a vendor from the list or begin typing a new vendor. As you enter the vendor you will see a list of suggestions appear that you can select or you can ignore and enter your new vendor.
Yes, it will use the same vendor list that appears in the shopping list.
With the next version of the calculator the "Last made date" will appear on the printout. The printout will still include the current date but on the same line the last made date will be printed (if there is a value for the date).
