Hello everyone....

I am close to 70 and have been smoking for 54 years. ( If I can't say the brand, I will say I would walk a mile for one :) )
My wife quit over 5 years ago, and has been "naggin" me to quit , along with my Dr.
I tried everything you can think of.....patch, pill gum, Hypnosis, you name it , I tried it !!
I did some research and figured I would give ecigs a shot. I sent to Volt for their startup kit and a few sample packs. Long story short...
it has been 3 weeks and I still haven't even thought about a real cigarette :) Of course I have sent for more spare battys and more samples ( gotta try em)

Thanks for this forum and all the folks who come here. It was a tremendous help while researching.

Uncle Ralphie.....
Welcome! And Congrats! It's been just over 3 weeks here, too!
And....like yourself....I "walked the mile...." for many years (unfiltered, until I just couldn't afford them anymore!!:()
My last analogs were $13/CARTON!!! (and, yes....they TASTED like it!!!;))
My ADV right now is Johnson Creek Tennessee Cured 24mg....Got some 36mg Clove WOW in the wings for those "moments"....!!!:)
Don't miss the analogs a bit!! Wish I'd stumbled onto vaping a long time ago.....
But....better late than never, I guess!!
Happy (vaping) Trails!!

I do not know where in Connecticut you are but there are two vape shops in Branford, CT, right off I95, one is off ex 51 and the other is near the Chowder Pot Restaurant. Google ecigarette shops for CT. I no longer live in CT but was looking for a friend back there. Check them out. You can try juices before you buy. Good luck and congratulations.

Gratz on finally givin em up:toast:

Like you I wish ecigs were available many years ago.

In CT The regular non filter are $10.27 a pack. That works out to $70 per week. $3650.00 per year !!!!

I hope to pay my property taxes and House Insurance with my "cig money" :thumb:

Ralph,
As you know, I have been fighting off the analog monkey for too many years. I smoked everything as a kid (yes, even dry twigs) and then 3-PAD of the "cowboy" reds when I was in the military. I quit twice, once for 6 years and then for 13 years but that monkey came back like a drug addition. I was an analog junkie but you helped me change my wicked ways. Thanks for being so generous and sending me your Volt equipment and all the flavors recently. That Cherry On Top hooked me and I haven't touched an analog since.
You saved my life, bro.
