At Tropical Vapors we use the US Postal Service to ship our packages. All packages under 13 ounces are shipped First Class Mail and those over 13 ounces go Priority Mail. We have found that there is no real difference in shipping times between First Class and Priority Mail, but postal rate regulations do not permit First Class Packages over 13 ounces for smaller businesses.

All packages are shipped with Delivery Confirmation and you should get an email with a Tracking Number as soon as the mailing label is printed. A short time later the order status on the web site will also be updated with the tracking number and the ship date. Be advised that the USPS only officially uses this tracking number for domestic First Class and Priority Mail for delivery confirmations but in about 95% of the shipments the package status will be updated as the package moves between USPS facilities. You can track you package at www.USPS.com.

We ship Monday through Friday, early in the morning. Orders received always ship the next business day. Orders received before 8:00 am Eastern Time will usually ship same business day.

I have only been in business a little less than two months and I have been pretty impressed with the delivery times and performance of the Postal Service. I know they take a lot of heat but most of my shipments to Metro areas have arrived on the third business day (ie. shipped on Monday, arrived on Wednesday). And the great thing about the USPS is that they deliver on Saturday for no additional charge.

I've only had one package lost so far and one that went on a short tour of the Northeast Coast before it finally found it's way to the proper destination in New Jersey.
