Hey guys, so i just got a few atomizers in the mail (510s) started dripping and loving it, just wondering if it's any bad for the atomizer and what is the usual life time for these atomizers? Thanks! :D

Only if you're using an auto batt. ;)

Atty lifespan can vary greatly (and according to your care also). I've got some M401s and M601s that have lasted well over a year. Then I've had some fail right out of the gate. Consider them a consumable product. Always keep extras on hand and consider the super-performers a bonus.

With 510 atty's, I'm a dripper only ! I've had the occasional one just pop on its own for no given reason, but most just keep on chugging away (albeit at a lesser performance level with age), with minimal care.

I ONLY blow out my atty at nite, when I don't forget to, and place them threads up in a shot glass with a tissue in the bottom. In the morning, I simply wipe the threads, hit it with 3 drops of juice and puff away. Once in a while if the performance depletes too much, or I have a stubborn flavour that can't find the exit, I'll do a 5 second dry burn while blowing into the atty, let it cool, then do another followed by 4 drops of juice.... vape till the flavour changes, then back on to the 2 drop regime.

This morning I'm using (just for the hell of it), a 510 Janty Dura atty I bought in Nov 2008.

** All my atty's have had varied use from 3.7v to 5v on different devices.

I only get about 6 intakes on a 510 set up off of 2-3 drips (I usually do a double short hit - 3 seconds each for each intake). That of course is for 3.2v-3.7v standard ohm atty. If I'm vaping at 5v (again standard ohm atty) I get 5-6 longer 5+ second single hits.

This however all depends on your juices, the viscosity and flavouring being used, and obviously...... the brand of atty's. Unfortunately, there is no easy simple methods at all with e-cigs in general, only "guidelines" and recommendations. It's entirely up to the user to use the starting information and develop personal methods that work for THEM.

"Personally", I was never able to enjoy the 901 atty's/devices myself, as I found them not warm enough of a vapor even though they did produce what "I" interpreted to be a more favourable tasting vape. The overall satisfaction just wasn't there for "ME" with my style of vaping nor with my juice selection/diy.

Worth mentioning.... I have tried many different models of both devices and atty's, but as the 510 worked best for "ME" with my expectations I eventually ended up deciding that I only wanted to continue with a single model of atty (in this my case the 510), and use adaptors if needed to allow me to only stock with that ONE model. If I'm out on the road I'll use either my 510 VapeMate to drip or 510 Boge cartomizers.

Greg
