I received my mini e cig a few hours ago, and the throat hit just isnt as good as I imagined it would be. It also tastes like crap. Im using the fluid that originally came with the starter kit. So to sum it up, the throat hit is nonexistent, the cartridges suck, and it doesnt taste good at all. Are these two issues common with newcomers? Also, would it help to buy some fluid from totally wicked or another special fluid offered by one of the dealers?

Also, the whole esmoking technique is different then smoking analogs. Took me a while to get the hang of it, but it is working out a lot better the more I do it.

Ditto. My first few days of vaping, I'd vape the way I smoked . . . hard draws. Not at all satisfying . . . not much vapor and the occasional mouthful of nicquid. But then I learned the secret . . .

A drop or two of e-liquid on the cart to give it that "new cartridge" feeling. Then take a short to medium primer puff (not inhaling into lungs), then a longer, slow inhale--almost leisurely. When the atomizer really gets heated up, you tend to get a better hit. (I know . . . I sound like a druggie.)

Also, you'll find that the longer you vape in a session, the less sensation you'll get. The nicotine has a tendency to numb the inside of your mouth and throat.

Finally, a fully charged battery really is key to the best possible vape. That's one reason why USB passthrough batteries are so popular . . . always a good battery. :)

also don't forget, well, you can't forget cuz you didn't know, but...heh

let's start again.

also, please note, most atomizers are quite finicky at first and need some breaking in. suffer through the first few puffs and keep at it, i'm dealing with a new 901 myself and it's not at all like my 401, but it is starting to loosen up and start working pretty well now.
