Okay so I'm relatively new to this. I've been using a ctwist and nautilus tank. I want to get into higher end stuff. I was looking into Kay fun RTA and at the Vamps V8.

I want more vape essentially. I need something that relatively easy to set up, hence a digital mod. What is a decent setup that would take me to the next level?

All input and direction welcome.

Thanks in advance!

The kayfun works well but, IMO, it's a bit finicky to set up and it IS difficult to change a coil/wick when the tank is full. It's not a device I would recommend learning to build with. I think the fogger improved on some of the kayfun issues but I can't say I've kept up with that style in a while. If you have the money I think drippers are the easiest to learn with because your coil,wick and posts are all nicely exposed and easy to get to. If you do jump straight to a KF avoid filling it all the way until you know the coil/wick is working well. On the vamo I know they had some with issues and some that worked ok but. My overall impression is its a cheaper device that gives you less than what you pay for.

IMO... Kayfuns are very easy to build on. I have four kayfun lite plus RTA's and I love them.

Currently they are all collecting dust though as I have switched to exclusively using my Reo bottom feeders. If I can ever get my wife on this vaping train she will have an endless supply of DNA devices and kayfuns. She's gotta stay the hell away from my Reo's though. LOL!

best first rba feel is the flash-e-vapor V2 or V3, fraking easy to build, delivers a great vape at any level, just a great purrformer. Don't get me wrong, the Russian/Kayfun is a fine rba tank system but quite frankly, the flashi blows it out of the water in all categories.

Far as regulated mods, really liking the Cloupor T6 & T8, also the Sigelei 100 box is very nice. Big balls of the 3 goes to the T8, but the single 26650 T6 is my fave of the 3.

Vape long and Prosper.!!!!

I think what RTA you will like depends on if you are trying to lung inhale or not? I want to check out the Lemo as I hear it is pretty airy. I have a Fogger v4 and it is still to tight a draw for me. Good flavor and such. Pain to build on compared to other things. Twisting wire around a post is lame

Welcome aboard
I own several Vamos (v2, v3, v5) and several KF3.1s. So no direct experience with the V8.
Sound like a great entry into RTAs and VW vaping. Note: be sure that the KF you choose has Adjustable Air Flow. Some of the KFLs don't.
You will also need:
Kanthal A-1 wire - Temco - I use 32 and 30 ga - 100' roll ~$5 each
Sterile Cotton Balls - Walmart/CVS - ~$3 a bag
Ohm Meter/Atomizer Resistance Tester - ~$20 (got mine from a local vape shop)

Do you do the mesh thing through the holes on your flashevapor as is recommended or do you just put cotton alone and no mesh?

I have a kayfun 3.1; I don't care to fill it; the build deck I find too small on it, as well as the fogger;
Alot of the rba tanks are designed to be filled by using a syringe; slowly, more are coming out that are easier to fill.

Nowadays I use my 30mm drippers; the veritas especially is good to go around with because it has only 1 airhole, so as long as you lay it down with the airhole up, you get no leaks

I've also got a vamo3 and a vamo5s.
The vamo3 I had to open up and repair the centerpin insulator after 3 months; then again 3 months later I did a better job of it (I think I used one of the silicone insulators that came on the newer protank coils); no trouble since; plus I was happy to replace the thin wires inside the tube connecting the pcb board to the topcap with thicker speak wire instead

So what would be an easy to set up mod that would be digital? I don't think i'm up to the mechanicals yet.

mvp2 has been the next step up from the eGo type twist /spinner batteries;
This year there is also the istick.
The mvp2 is maxed out at 11 watts; the istick goes up to 20 watts, but the numbers on the screen are wrong (lower [the computer chip programing is merely reporting MEAN instead of RMS numbers for volts]) for volts and watts that's an acceptable tradeoff for the price.
Bottom line: $35

It's a good buy for new vapers; they need to get something that's going to work for a year or few while they pay more attention to the thing that goes on top of it.

(and there's rumors of an mvp3 to come out)

If you go for a replaceable battery mod, like one of the vamos or the e-lvt2 or the svd2, you also need to get the battery(s) and chager for the battery.
