Hey guys,

I've recently stumbled upon e-cigs through google, and some of my friends and I'd really like to try them out, so I can finally stop slowly killing myself :)

I Live in Toronto, and I go through about 3 packs a week of "analogs" currently (Belmonts), and I really want to quit, but the patch and gum were garbage, so I came here, and it seems like the E-Cig is the way to go!

I've been looking at the 510 mainly, mostly b/c of the crazy amount of stuff you can buy for it, and the look, and size really appeal to me.

I know since I live in Canada it's going to be a pain to get e-liquid, but I think it's worth it.
Right now iv'e been looking at some of the vendor sites for getting the 510 here in Canada, but I'm a little confused by the dif. brands, Joye, and others etc...?? :S

since I live in Canada, is it at all possible to get flavored liquid? Or do I always have to mix my own?

Thanks guys! I hope I can get some good input!

On my cell so I can't see how many posts u have but after 5 posts u can look into the Canada forum and find tons of answers. Good luck, and Congrats!

As for an e-cig I really like the kGo 1100mah from hoosierecigsupply. It's 510 thread and gets rave reviews, and at $44 a great deal. The supplier is super good with customer service.

I guess I can get used to the lesser th eventually :(
I don't wanna be lugging around a huge hybrid or even a pen style, way too inconvenient,
I just want to quit analogs so bad, I hate the smell, and guilt :/ but they're so damn good haha, :(
On a side note: would you guys recommend cartomizers or fill-em yourself types to start with? I'm kind of intimidated by the mixing and stuff,

Buy the one you think will work, get the pre filled cartos first, then when you get your tastebuds back you will want to try new flavours. Here in Australia we cant buy the pre mixed stuff either so we mix it ourselves, it is really easy and if you find that you like the e-cig and it is working for you, then decide what to do about refilling.

Hi HungarianSM,

I'm new to this also, just started with a "real" model a week ago. Before that I had an ecig that I bought at the mall that looked like a cig. It would die after a few puffs and just didn't cut it. I ended up getting an Echo (an automatic that is about the size of a cigar), an Elite 808 (a manual that is the size of a pen) and have ordered a KGO.

I'm a Gramdma and really like the fat Echo and the skinnier Elite. They both have their good points, but main thing is that they don't require alot of fussing with them. The battery lasts all day and only have to top up juice a couple of times. They both use cartomizers which are fairly easy to fill once you get the hang of it.

You could also try the Volt. Check out some of the reviews about that one. It may be more along the lines of what you're looking for.

Whatever you choose, I hope that you have the same success that I and others here have had with a surprisingly painless switch to vaping and no longer buying the stinkies.

Hi Hungarian! I started with an Envy (bought at a local store) and bought a Joye 510 Mega less than 2 weeks later. The Mega battery lasts twice as long as the standard and after the Envy I knew I wasn't gonna fiddle around with charging every 2 hours! Another 4 weeks later I bought the eGo (has 510 threading so I was able to use everything I already had from the 510 Mega). The eGo produces warmer vapor and puts a bit more oomph behind the e-juice: It enhances the flavor and increases TH. The batteries last about 6 hours each without getting weak towards the end.

As many analogs as what you are smoking, I would suggest an eGo and cartos. The cartomizers will save you from having to refill cartridges non-stop (60 analogs means you are smoking most of the time during your waking hours and you would be going through at least a dozen cartridges or refilling one numerous times during the day).

I use Echo cartomizers whenever I do use cartomizers. I suggest to not use clearomizers right away. I know they look pretty, but taste-wise ... don't do it.

The following in me-myself-an-I form (since it really depends on taste): I would allow for plenty vapor to reduce or kick the habit, meaning: I would choose a 25/75 VG/PG mix. I would choose a strong tobacco flavor and a tobacco'ish flavor along the RY4 (sweet) line.

I just checked prices for 510 Mega and eGo: The 510 Mega Kit is ~US$34 compared to ~US$47 for the eGo. That means you are paying at least 13 bucks more for the eGo (or 34 bucks less, in case you go for the Mega and need to upgrade in a few weeks :)).

Best of luck!

Thanks for the great input guys,
I'm still thinking of getting the 510, as it seems like the simplest way to start getting into PVs,
A quick question though, does the vapour smell at all? I'm kind of concerned as I would need to "smoke" in my dorm room, however I don't want my roomate to be bothered by it,

oh and... does anyone know hot to get the analog cig smell out of a leather jacket? :p
