Hello everyone,

First i want to start off that my grammar/spelling is terrible so bear with me :p

I have been a normal cig user for about 10 years now and switched to e-cigs about 2-3 months ago. :D
I started off with a couple of disposables of different brands and they all seemed ok...I decided to order V2Cigs kit and well...they were crap. I then ordered the Blu e-cig starter kit and so far have been with them since.

However i really dislike the burnt taste after they are done. I can go through a cartridge in about 10ish hours. I then proceeded to goto our local tobacco shops and they are talking up the tsunami brand, I decided to try the watermelon flavored liquid and its good but kind hard on the throat and i keep reading reviews that there tanks/batteries are crap.

At this point i have made a decision that i want to go liquid but with all the reviews/products I am unsure of what to actually get. So here i am in search of help from people who have been doing this for years.

Get yourself two ego batteries. You will use one while the other is charging. That way you will always have a charged battery. Regular egos are fine, but you might want to consider getting a couple ego-c twists. These allow you to vary the power coming though the battery to your tank/atomizer. A decent local store will charge about 25-30 each for the ego-c twists, less for a regular ego. A charger should run around 5 bucks, less online. Clearomizers are a good beginner tank system to start with. I've tried most of them and I have personally found that the iclear 16's perform best on an ego battery and fit perfectly. There are a ton of different battery styles and mods and tanks and toppers. Takes a while to learn about them all. Don't blow a bunch of money on gear you will might want to replace later. You will also want to buy some juice. I buy most of my juice online, but if you have access to a local vape store most of them will let you try out flavors so you can see what you like. The gear is important, but finding a juice flavor you can live with all day is also key. Good luck.

Money isnt much of an issue I'm mostly looking for quality for the battery and tank. I took a look at what you suggested and they look pretty cool. How are the sizes for them? I dont want anything too big and it has to be symmetrical, i mean like small battery and hugh tank. Its all gotta look flush.

The 650 mah ego is probably the best size for feeling right in your hand or pocket The 1100 size lasts longer but just feels too long. I would go with one of each and see how it feels. The iclear 16's fit the ego batteries perfectly. They vape very well for a clearo. They just don't hold a full day's worth of juice. The larger tanks can last all day, but don't fit flush on the ego battery. If you go for the iclear 16's make sure to buy a couple extra heads for each iclear. They can gunk up with use and having extra heads makes things easier as you can clean them and keep them in rotation.

I was in the same situation too. I started with a g6 kit and it totally served its purpose getting me of the analogs, but within a week I wanted more. I ended up with the halo triton batteries and I use the kanger t3 mini tanks. nice and compact size, east to replace the coils, no leaks, and I get great vapor out of them.

Hi and welcome!

Too much information alert!
predator17.gif

This will give you an idea of what an eGo looks like and some of the things that will fit on it. A Vision Spinner (which you'll probably see mentioned) has the same threading, but is a little thicker.

egolatest.jpg

Thread covers (sometimes called “cone covers,” or “skirts”) will make 510 connecting juice delivery systems look more streamlined on eGo-type batteries. (For some reason a few vendors called them “adaptors,” which is a misnomer; the covers are purely cosmetic.

The Kanger Protank comes with it's own "Beauty Ring."

JDS that connect via the external eGo threads, like the EVOD, don't have a ring/cover option:

You need a charger. Taste in juice is very subjective and it changes when you start vaping. The best plan is to get as many samples as you can to try them out.

That's a great starter kit. I think you will be very happy with it. A good way to try juice if you ordering online is to check out mount bakor vapor or ec blends. They both have very inexpensive juice and you can try out a lot of different flavors without breaking the bank.

I've bought from FastTech before. Quality can be hit or miss, but the prices are great and they have free shipping. Keep in mind if you order from them that shipping can take a long time. For me it averaged between two to three weeks before my order arrived from China to California. Not a big deal if you are not in a hurry, but you need to know what to expect.

A lot of the components of this kit are out of stock, so you may not get the exact color choices you want, but it has all the parts you already have in your AltSmoke shopping cart (except extra heads). If you add something to the order to bump it up over $75 shipping is free. There is also a 10% coupon listed on the home page.

There's nothing wrong with FastTech, but I strongly suggest getting authentic Joyetech or Vision batteries the first time, since people report less problems with them.

Do you think JoyeTech has overall great products? I dont really want to shop from 10 different stores if i can just get everything i need from one.

Half the fun of vaping is checking out and trying different juice. One key thing to keep in mind is to try styles you might not think you would like. I thought I would always stay with tobacco flavored juice but now I'm really liking fruit, coffee and dessert flavors. Your taste may also change over time. The only real way to find that elusive all day vape is to try a lot of stuff that does not work.
