Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

How would you compare it to a MEGA eGo atty hit wise?

I have only tried one Mega-eGo atty, given to me as an evaluation unit. My opinion of it was "bleh". My opinion of this is "bleh+".... ;-)

Remember, I am evaluating things in terms of "converting an analog user"..... not per-se satisfying a long-term PV user. Recent converts often are put off on having to take a 6+ second "draw" on a PV in order to get decent vapor and/or TH/LH. Sometimes they think a 2 second hit on my LR unit is a "bit much" (vapor, TH/LH wise)... but that we can tone-down easily. Getting them to come around to very long draws is more difficult.

Also.. please keep in mind that my eGo-T may not be performing the same as yours (or anybody elses).

I have to say- I'm using a 50/50 PG/VG mix and it's hitting fine.

Might be this particular atomizer.

I was using 50/50 when I got a terrible burnt flavor which led to my emailing Trevor. He kicked my problem upstairs and sent back the English-as-2nd-language reply from the designer who said the tank was developed for use with "our liquids." This prompted me to email again asking what the specific ratios are. This is Trevor's reply:

CIGAR-M (Glycerin - 35% / Propylene Glycol - 50 ~ 65%)
Menthol-M (Glycerin - 35% / Propylene Glycol - 50 ~ 65%)
Texas-M (we call MLB) (Glycerin - 30% / Propylene Glycol - 50 ~ 70%)
Tob-M (Glycerin - 30% / Propylene Glycol - 60 ~ 70%)

So there ya' go; you can see where I got the idea that 70PG/30VG was the preferred liquid. The designer also mentioned that the wick "is made by workers hands" so there are variations in the attys. So, I wish I'd gotten one like yours.

No argument here- thanks for the info. I was just reporting the experience so far.

I'm going to DYI some juice tonight and I'll make a small batch at 70/30 for reference and see what differences there may be.

It's good the Ovale people are being open with the ratio. 5 days in with no problem at 50/50 isn't really any indication to me that 50/50 is a solution.

It did work quite fine with Ecopure. That has to have a bit of water dilution since pure VG is very very thick.

I vape almost exclusively DIY Decadent Vapours VG - VG Platinum Ice, Aqueous Glycerin (80:20 VG:H20 mix) and the DV flavorings. No problem with the atty after a week now. Vapes much like the mega eGo atty/cart but with better flavor and no leakage.

That said, one shouldn't vape pure 100% VG uncut on any PV.

I started getting the burned taste again today. Hadn;t cleaned it at all for about 1o days.

Did a wash through with hot water and dry burns 4 sec X8.

Vapor still a bit hot and then got a light burnt taste again now.

Will do what fixed the problem before - washing with hot water and no dry burn, letting it dry naturally and see how that goes.

I do 'hotbox' as I've seen it described on the last page and hold the button down for abou 8 or 10 secs, exhaling through the nose whilst re-inhaling 5 or 6 times so it could be that... And then the dry burns clean the atty but leave the burnt taste on the wick perhaps whereas the natural drying just lets every thing clean with no dry burn causing any heat....

The wicks look pretty solid so i'm pretty sure a good clean and natural dry should set it right. Will report back.

Okay it had about 7 hours to dry, so I just filled up a cart with menthol and let it sit for a while so it would wick and get in the atty.

First two draws, not much vape as poss still dry / or a little wet with water tho more likely dry adfter 7 hrs. Next two draws were good. Next two draws had light burned taste and I felt quite discouraged. NOt sure why, maybe just the taste lingering in the cart or cone or something I assume.

Then a cpl of draws after that the burnt taste has gone and we are back to nice menthol tasting clouds of vapor. Just having a nice few hearty 'hotbox' type draws right now and am very happy to report that it is delicious and vapor production is as good as new. Few minutes after last sentence now and vaping and yup, we are 100% lovely, still going v nicely.

A quick question for you guys please? - What makes the burnt taste happen? And why does it then go away?

The only burnt taste I've gotten in recent (6 months) vaping is after a dry burn where there can be residual ash around. Prior to that, really dark ejuice with particles could more easily build up around the atty and burn. All of my current flavors are light in color and transparent to translucent. DV habana reserve, absinthe, real tabs, ylang ylang and BWB espresso and capp. The last two being less light and vaped at 6 volts on a Big Brother.

Jumping in just for a quick question: just out of curiosity: Are those T atties 'drippeable'?

I haven't tried it because everything is working so well :) But from the 'internal' pictures posted here and elsewhere, the 'path' of ejuice is through the thin needle/spike projection about the disc and atomizer which you simply couldn't be that precise in dripping - so I wouldn't recommend it. Actually the tank itself, esp. at 1/2 full and below acts as a dripper and you get the same good flavor and vapor as dripping.

Sounds like my mix will work...Awesome Coz!!

There's still lots of concerns about these long term. One of my concerns is how the atomizers hold up with the darker juices that can clog or permanently dis-flavor an atomizer.

Most of the juice I vape is very clean stuff like Ecopure, or FSUSA Green Tea. A lot of the darker/heavier juices tend to leave behind residual material on the atomizer.

I cannot help but wonder if my 6 day "good experience" is in part because of the lighter juices.

Very good point!
I just clogged up a new FLüXomizer CE2 in one day because I was using some very dark home brew I made. Thankfully I could clean it and get to the coil to scrap off the paste like ashes left behind after the dry burn.

It would be interesting to have feed back from anyone that is using these new T's with dark juices.
