Hello,

My GF purchased an eGo from LiteCigUSA. I don't know a lot about this device but am learning. I have one major concern right now, and please correct me if I am wrong. I have dissected all of the major components in an effort to better understand the system, and have watched a few youtube videos on refilling this device. It seems as though there is a polymer fill material inside the liquid reservior, and that, in the course of using the device, this polyfill is vaporized along with the liquid. Thus, she is drawing vaporized polymer into her lungs, where it is (theoretically) hardening. This seems unhealthy to me, and while the intent is to use this product to help her quit smoking (not replace smoking with vaping), I am concerned that if she uses it for a long period of time, she will ultimately suffer health issues as a result. Am I way off base here?

It seems as though dripping might offer a solution to this, although I am only now beginning to learn about the process, the ins and outs, the parts needed, etc. I intend to do some FAQ reading on this process, but in the meantime, am I on the right track -- is dripping a viable alternative to having to refill her current liquid reserviors with poly/liquid?

Thanks for your time.

WAY OFF BASE...the polyfill is NOT vaporized...the juice is wicked to the coil, where the JUICE is vaporized...keep the polyfill good and wet for best taste...if you allow it to go dry it will burn the poly...you can easily tell when it needs juice...it will get dry tasting and then cottony and then burnt...does the kit have a separate atomizer and cartridge, atomizer and tank or does it have a cartomizer(atty and cart in one)..........

Dripping is definitely a viable alternative, and many people enjoy it more than fiddling with cartridges, BUT she is NOT inhaling the polyfill along with the juice. The polyfill just holds the juice and feeds it to the atomizer. The polyfill does not burn or melt or mix with the juice in any way. There will be just as much polyfill in the cart after the juice is all vaped out as there was before she added juice to it. Really.

Dripping gives a really nice vape, but it has its downside in that you have to constantly re-drip. Two drops will last about 6-8 good "hits" then you have to drip two more drops. You always have to carry your juice bottle. It's just not quite as convenient as using the cart, which will hold about 12 drops or so.

Another very viable alternative, and one that I prefer, is to get cartomizers. A cartomizer or "carto" is a piece that combines the cartridge and the atomizer (atty = heating coil) altogether. They also contain polyfill, but they hold a lot more juice than the cartridge (cart) and need to be refilled less frequently. Cartomizers will generally hold about 30 drops or so at a time.

The polyfill is safe and doesn't dissolve in the juice. I'm absolutely convinced that it's 100% safe. I've been vaping for over a year now, and have felt better and better (healthier) and better. Hope this helps.

If you keep the cart damp with decent-flowing juice (flows faster than you vape it) then the atomizer should not get hot enough to singe the poly. However while cart + atty is Ok for learning, it is the least popular way to vape.

For everyday vaping of favorite juices use disposable cartomizers instead of atomizer and carts. Boge cartomizers are most popular and I can get 10+ days use out of each with thin clear juices (PG w/ 20% or less VG, and I avoid juices that leave a lot of flavoring sediment in the stuffong). Keep cartomizers damp with suitable juice and they will not singe. It is harder to use thicker juices in cartomizers though some say they can use 100% VG with the more expensive dual coil cartomizers.

Use a drip tip on the atomizer for testing juices.
