i have a quick question. if i got the 5v version that uses 16340's, could i also use an 18650 in that for a 3.7 vape?

those are the 2 batteries i do have.

Yes if you order the 3.7/6v model

but not in the 5volt model~

The wiring is different inside, as the 5v regulated is meant to regulate the batteries to give out 5v until the two battries die. I don't think you can change it to 3.7v with an 18650 battery. The 3.7/6v is meant to be interchangable.
