Hi Rossum - I just bought some v2 armor from them - why do you think v1 is best?
V1 is argon-purged. Over the long term, I'm more confident with argon at ambient pressure, than a vacuum, which nature abhors. :)

When I mix, I use an entire 125 ml bottle at once, so the the self-sealing adapter has no appeal to me.

Iimho by the end of this year at least 1/2 of the vendors will close.
this summer most will not be able to order vapes stuff online due to restrictions about ordering tobacco products online.

At the 2 year point we will only have cigalikes with pre filled cartomizers or similar pre filled cartridge.

If the rules are not eased up by legislation or lawsuits.

Ah, I get the point about the vacuum. But the self-sealing adapter has appeal to me as I'm just starting out in this, and I'm pretty sure I won't be blowing through a 125 ml bottle of concentrated nic at once. Perhaps I should just hedge my bets and get some v1 and v2. Aw what the heck, I might as well get some v3 too. This may be a long road so...

I quit vaping...

I now own and operate battery powered, orally controlled fog machines.
The fog juice I use is more expensive than what you get for the bigger machines but it's worth the extra cost.
It also doubles as an air freshener because it smells like creamy berries and not a musty basement!

In order minimize handling, measuring, and the chance of spilling 100 mg nic, what I've always done is to mix down an entire 125ml bottle into unflavored vapable base at once. I dump the whole bottle 125ml into the mixing container, add in appropriate amounts of PG and VG, and mix them all thoroughly. Since I vape at around 15mg, that gives m a bit over 800 ml of vapable base, which lasts me roughly 4-5 months. Once it's thoroughly mixed and the air bubbles have risen out of it, I re-bottle that in 120ml bottles and put all but one bottle back in the freezer.

It's a low-tech approach, but it works well for me.

That's what I do also. Thaw a 125ml, mix my base, put them back into 125 bottles, refreeze.
Take it a step further, and thaw a 125 of base monthly, fill 20 REO bottles, put these back in the freezer.
Thaw a weeks worth of REO bottles as needed.
Have not had any issues with refreezing.
    This is for unflavored.
Flavored juice gets mixed, and left in a cool, dark drawer.

Maybe I'm not fussy enough, but I've never detected any degradation over the period of a few weeks that a 120ml bottle of vapable base lasts me. In fact, I only started re-freezing my mixed down base when I got a dedicated 2.1 cubic foot freezer for my home office earlier this year. Prior to that, I simply kept it in a dark cupboard (in amber or cobalt glass bottles with polycone caps) and it was always fine for as long as a batch lasted me -- as long as 6 months when I was still vaping some store-bought juice.

I typically leave a thawed 120ml bottle of 100mg nic in my locked mixing box until I go through it. Sometimes the nic is out of the freezer for 3-4 months and it barely changes at all if any. I mix 3 month supplies of my favorites at a time as well and it barely changes sitting on a shelf for 3 months. Some blends get much better after 3 months of aging. The only reason I'm saying this is because DIY is a lot easier than most new people think. Overthinking every aspect doesn't always produce better results. It's more important to get your recipes right than worrying about moving things in and out of the fridge and freezer. Shelf life is pretty much a non issue.

OTOH- some recipes will turn dark faster. Like in a month. It's some sort of reaction between the base and the flavor. None of my recipes do this but I'm pretty simple stupid with mine and 75% of what I mix is HS tobaccos. If I had a favorite recipe that darkens quickly I would take better care of it or mix less at a time.

It is also good to remember that Nic. keeps very well just refrigerated. I freeze in 120ml bottles. When I pull one out of the freezer it gets broken down to one 60ml and two 30ml. I keep on 30ml out and the rest in the fridge. I have never had any turn on me at the rate I currently go through it.

A 120ml bottle of NIC lasts me 2 - 3 months and I've never had a bottle oxidize in the 2 - 3 months it takes me to use it up stored in room temps away from direct sun light. I freeze my bulk NIC not used in 3 or more months.

I bottle my bulk nic in 8 120ml bottles kept in the freezer and the rest of my 7 liters in 1 liter boston round glass bottles. When those 8 120ml bottles are empty I break out a frozen liter bottle and refill the 8 and freeze again.

If the FDA decides to go after things like flavorings for use in DIY (which I dont think they will do because it is not a complete finished product for ENDS use at that point), then I will crack open my stash/vault of absolute and extract recipes.

I've amassed a slew of them over the last four 1/2 years. Some I have published on ECF. Others I have held as closely guarded secrets in case I ever decided to open a shop in the wayyyy distant future. There are great people/resources here on ECF that work with these kinds of diy flavors and extracts. I will certainly add what I have to the fold, in a large way, if need be.

No one will suffer for a tobacco flavored vape in DIY. I have zero fear of that. Even some nic can be extracted directly from tobacco itself. DIY juice is going nowhere.

Everybody has their own approach. Here's how I've set things up. My nic comes from myfreedomsmokes. I ordered a 1 liter bottle of 100mg nic in 100% PG. In that order I included 4 250 ml amber glass bottles and divided the nic into those. It takes me about a year to empty one of those. Additional 1 liter bottles of nic are transfered into 1 liter amber glass bottles for longer term storage wrapped in bubble wrap from the original shipping materials. In 4 years when the 250 ml bottles are empty I'll transfer one of the 1 litter bottles into the 250 ml bottles and start the process again.

At the current stocking level it will all fit on the door shelf of the freezer. If necessary I'll get a 1 cu. foot medical freezer dedicated to nic. I'd ike to avoid that.
This is what I did too same nic and same division into 250ml Amber glass bottles i break those down into 120ml bottles when I need to , I would say it takes me at least 8-9 months minimum to go through 120ml of 100mg nic its awhile but so far taste is still right on , when I mix I have a main preferred flavor I make between 400-600 ml approx at a time of and then I make test flavors non stop I make 3mg juice. I just got low enough that I'll break down the other 120ml of that first bottle and I'll probably do 2-60 ml bottles this time now that I know how long it takes me to go through it,

I also agree to just start with the 100mg nic its what i started with and never had a problem with it , I should also mention that was my first order of nic and I hair started DIY when I ordered all that it doesn't take that long to learn it I ordered that plus 4 gallons of VG and 2 gallons of pg from ED and 3 10ml luer lock needles than picked up a bag of 1ml diabetic syringes from rite aid to begin with , I just use pliers to pull the needles out of the tops and they work perfect for pg based flavorings

I can just see it now. The future vape shop will only sell unflavored e-liquid and any mods that can get approval. Next door there will be a candy and baking supply store which recommends that you cut your cake layers with kanthal wire. :pervy::D
Very funny to me as one night my wife was trying to slice a cake in half horizontally to put frosting in the middle she DIDDNT have a long enough knife for the car and was gettin mad , here I emerge from the basement with a 3 foot peice of 26g kanthol and slice through the cake like butter,.....I now lock all my wire and all vape related supplies in a huge metal cabinet and bring the key to work:D

And, if you have children or elders in the house, you can purchase a tough, polypropylene ammo case with o-ring seal and lock for under $15 that fits easily in the freezer. Here is the one I use which holds ~18 x 60ml bottles (i.e. 1 liter). Each bottle in a ziplock and the case packed with bubble wrap.

    ref.

Edit: Changed link to ammo can fitting 60ml packers. Prior link pointed to ammo can fitting 500ml amber packers.

Buy her a box of toothpicks and some dental floss then show her the video below. Maybe she'll quit putting designs on your kanthal.
