The recent ECF format changes for the, most part, have improved my forum experience.
I did submit one perceived problem to Oliver, but that is not the purpose of this post.
I especially liked the new more descriptive general avatar that uses a few of the new members forum id in color (color box with two alpha letters).
One can always click the poster avatar and determine gender if listed.

OK, did my morning roundup all in Aluminum. Thee are just 2 and a half things I see. First, when you get alerts on the "regular" board, a drop-down tells you what it is and you can decide if you need to "do" anything. Now, when you hover, you'll see the counts of alerts on hover, but then have to click over to a new screen to see the alert, breaking up reading the forum. Any chance of having that work for alerts like in the regular view?

Second, the reduced info on the poster is OK as you can look and pull down for more info. However, of the items in that pull-down, I think it would be better to display the person's location (assuming they provide it) as it can really affect a reply. Being able to see location by default would be useful. And my half, I still like the rectangular avatars over the round.

I like just about everything, but I do miss the drop-down for alerts. I like the cheerful new "like" options, Personally, I like the round avatars choice, because visually it keeps the page from being a collection of only various squares and rectangles. I like the colors and the clean feeling. I like the font and font size as they are now (for a while they were smaller and a different font, and I did have to switch back to the old theme because I couldn't hang with it).

The only odd thing for me right now is that there is a lot of empty space under the post title, with only a large round green "reply" button on the far right, and this adds about 200 pixels(? wild guess) of empty vertical space between the title and beginning of the thread. (If it's just me, I can post a screen grab.)

But I like! Great work!

I really am amused by the green radar dot on my avatar, that shows me as online, but I think it's actually a useful feature, in fact, fa easier than trying to figure that all out.

I really like the way the forums are laid out, and I actually like the smaller boxes, with smaller writing (is there a way for a member to make it larger though, if they have poor vision? There may well be, I'm fine with the smaller text font, but it might not be for everyone).

The one thing I truly dislike is the alerts feature. It's clunky, it's not easy to get to, no quick view, and I don't know if the alerts are truly something important or someone liking a one word post. I am glad you can GET to the alerts, but honestly, it's nice when you hover over it in the old version and can take a quick peek but go on about one's business, etc.

Long ago I turned off my alerts for likes received. My other alerts would get lost in the list. I like the alerts if someone summons me or quotes a post.

hehe...well there ya go :)
But I thought "Supporting Members" were supposed to get an ad free experience anyway.

It says "Please consider registering and becoming a Supporting Member for an ad-free experience" but..... I already am both!

So my ad blocker should be irrelevant.
