Right behind you...
Busardo did a good job...kinda shocked that he didn't understand the velocity decks concept though.

Well, myself and about a half million others corrected him in the comments, and he posted about it in the description later. :)

If you've got the 2-post Aromamizer and have your airflow sorted, you're really not missing much compared to the Gemini. The difference between all the "top" V-deck tanks right now is pretty insignificant in terms of actual vaping.
Are you saying an aromamizer is about the same quality in vape as the Gemini?

I have the aromamizer (v1) and I like it (except the vape band afc) but thought the Gemini would be a "better" vape?

(note: nothing wrong with the aromamizer. It's a worthy tank.)

It's close if you just consider the actual vape using the same build. Gemini is better looking, has a couple extra features, a bit more room for longer coils, but gives a lot of juice capacity in the process.

Roughly 2mm ID with wick going to but not through the ring. Just slightly tucked.

3 mm coils are much better suited for these types of high airflow, high wattage, rda-esque devices. your wicks should just be blocking off the tops of the juice channels, like only going into the channels a couple of mms ie 2-4 mm maximum. you dont want to choke off the flow of the juice, you just want to dam it off so it doesnt flood the deck and cause gurgling and eventually leaking. try that out, should seriously remedy any of the wicking issues you have been experiencing. if you have any more questions feel free to ask and i'm sure one of us will be more than happy to offer up some advice or pointers. best of luck vape fam

The first batch of Geminis was shipped right before CNY to reviewers and only one retailer in a rather limited quantity. Now that CNY is over and production has started again, and thanks to this thing getting some good buzz, you can bet more retailers will be ordering it...availability should be good soon.
nope, still stuck to only preorders all across the board. wtf is going on this .... is absurd, ive been trying to purchase this damn thing for weeks...why wont vaporesso take all of these eager vapers' money???

I love the Crius for some flavors but I find thicker Juices work a bit better - on the Geek Vape. More dense flavor and vapor on the Griffin for me.
Have the Gemi on pre order and since I have been a long time Billow fan - have their V3 that just went live on eciggity due here soon.
Now I find the Mutank With Velocity (not reviewed a by phil - but closer to the other 3 in looks) a bit more flavorful. Perhaps that is due to it being the one that uses more wick stuffed in the JChannel, as opposed to the others that just need that wee bit . Of course the Mutank has no JControl, so If you don't wick it right - it can be more prone to initial leaking.

Really can't go wrong with any of these

Was excited today as my pre-order from VapeNW finally came in after almost a month wait. Sadly, I didn't even get out of the gate with it. The two positive post holes were totally stripped. I didn't even apply any pressure when screwing in the grub nuts and they immediately began spinning freely. Very disappointing. I was expecting the Gemini to be higher quality than the Griffin in terms of the infamous grub nut/threading issues. Overall, the quality of the tank is nicer indeed and I am surprised this thing was stripped out of the box. Going to RMA it, but looks like it's already on backorder every where again. aaargh

No worries. Sometimes you get duds. I am getting it replaced. But I did manage to score two black Geminis off ebay to hold me over. Wicked one up yesterday. Love it. Much better than the Griffin which I had nothing but leaking problems with, on all 5 I have! No leaking on the Gemini.

I received my black Gemini from Vivid Smoke today, I was excited to receive the atomizer. After opening the box and cleaning it I decided to see how it looked on my RX200 mod. I screwed it on to the mod and found the positive pin was way to long for the atomizer to fit flush on top of the mod. I then tried my IVP5, vaper flask stout along with other mods and the positive pin was to long for the atomizer to fit flush on any of the mods I had. I also tried to tighten the positive pin but it was already tight. I ended up using my die grinder with a sanding disk to sand down the positive pin. I am disappointed with the Gemini and have to say I like the Griffin better. I hope people have better luck with their Gemni than I did.

I got the Vaporesso Gemini RTA yesterday and kinda like it, but I'm looking for tips to maybe improve my build or something. I come from the Cthulhu V2 RTA which I like but juice control is annoying on that one and it is gurgley either because of wicking problem or

Vaping it with temp control with dual 316L 24AWG stainless steel coils, 12.5 wraps around 2mm inner diameter. Might try with 2.5mm ID or maybe 3mm but with 24ga it probably won't fit. After heatup to 440°F it temps out at about 30 watts (like almost any RTA or RDA I tried).

    • Light cleaning in dish soap was enough. No strong or persistent smells from this one
    • ....ing threading of the velocity build stripped! I replaced the screw and it still holds the wire tight for now. I didn't apply unreasonable torque. Probably gotta RMA it :/
    • Coil sits very high above the bottom airflow
    • With mouth to lung vaping it's not a very dense vape. I don't quite understand it but I figure that a lot of clean air is bypassing the coil from the center post straight up to the chimney. Top airflow closed obviously. Also closing all airflow you can still suck quite a bit air through it. Even on no airflow it's not dense at all
    • Even though it's less dense the flavour is still rather good. Weird really. But it's not as satisfying for MTL.
    • Clearly a big open lung / cloud chaser RTA with good flavour. Super airy but that's not really for me. I try not to vape into my lung really.
    • Brass / gold plated 510 pin - good for temp control since they always tarnish and seem to increase resistance.
    • 510 a too long - doesn't sit on my mod but has a rather big gap. Might try sanding it down.
    • Awesome wicking... huge juice flow slots. What is weird is that bubbles always sit in the juice flow holes. And if you only have wick lying on the top of the wick holes you can't vape the tank dry. Might try having a thin cotton strip go down to the bottom
    • No gurgling / leaking compared to the Cthulhu V2
So any tips? I'm a bit disapointed with this. Might try to somehow close off the center airflow.

    Right behind you...
First off, it's not a MTL tank, plain and simple. If that's what you were looking for, you chose...poorly. It's designed for 2.5mm/3mm ID Clapton or "exotic" coils, where that extra airflow is desirable. It's total overkill for tiny 2mm dual coils, and part of it being too airy is probably directly related to your choice of tiny coils as well. Bigger coils will restrict the airflow more, and give you back some of that "density" you are missing.

You should be able to get dual 3mm 24ga coils in there no problem, if you build close to the posts as possible, and of course keep an eye on total length...I've been running 7-wrap 3mm-ish 26/32 SS spaced Claptons in mine.

Coils sit where you place them, high, low, or middle. You don't have to keep them centered between the post holes, you can park 'em right down on the airflow hole, or keep them higher. Higher yields more flavor, more heat, with more chance of spit-back, and has less airflow restriction, putting them lower gives you a more pronounced throat hit, cooler vape and a tighter draw, at the expense of some flavor. Experiment.

As for the 510, yeah, it's overly long, but it's really only a problem on my Wismec/Joyetech mods, they seriously need to revise their 510 with a longer-throw pin, because the Gemini isn't the only tank they have issues with in that regard.

Oof! Not good. I pre-ordered a Gemini from VapeNW a couple weeks ago . It hasn't arrived yet (I ordered a black one, which still shows pre-order status on their site), but I hope I have better luck. I also hope you're able to get things straightened out asap.

Thanks Croak! Makes sense, I'll try it with bigger coils. I did read somewhere that it would be suitable for MTL too, and I'm not a fan of super tight airflow. More like 2x1mm airflow.

But I guess if the stripping of the post holes is common I'll probably gonna have to RMA it.

Another problem I discovered is that it's relatively easy to get my mustache hairs slightly stuck in the top airflow ring lol. Probably doesn't apply to many and depends on how you vape but... well it's not too bad but kinda speaks against the top airflow design.
