Thank you! Ahh, looks like you've been lWell as it so happens, I actually do also have an aluminum Rev2 GGTS! And while some of the the Rev2s came with aluminum contacts and others with brass, about 6 months ago I actually had 6 sets of custom GGTS positive posts and battery posts made out of aluminum! So I will be able to do an entire round of testing with that as well I suppose! The only aluminum part I don't think I have is an aluminum button post, but watcha gonna do?

Now that would be awesome RW. I bet the aluminum would be a hot powerful vape in comparison.

Dspin would love this too. He loves power as you know ! Thanks

most brass is not brass and most aluminum is not aluminum, both are alloys containing any number of different additives to aid conductivity, tarnish resistance, low toxicity, durability, machineability etc, so the question of which material depends on what is available and what it's optimized properties are.
for instance aluminum has far greater conductivity generally than brass and can be harder than brass, depending on the alloy mix. I do not claim to be an expert, and as they say "a little bit of knowledge can be a dangerous thing", but this link gives a lot of info if you know what your grade, alloy mix & base metal are, just type the base metal into the search box them select the alloy mix and grade from the list for, density, resistance conductivity, durability info :) a silver plated copper, would be the cheapest best conductor and if and when the silver wears off you would just have to clean the contacts a little more often.

I also really enjoy two-finish mods, say 80% satin 20% polished, where the polished parts (caps, rings) do not come in contact with my greasy fingers

So I refinished one of my GGTS to match the finish on my matte 3-airhole DID, watcha guys think?

This is what i mean when i talk about "two finish" It looks absolutely gorgeous!!

Man, I love that look. Reminds of a custom bike builder in CA (Russell Mitchell). Does a lot flat black and chrome/brushed. Beautiful...

OK
A day after tomorrow I will start button contacts production!
So tell me what material you want me to make them with?
Brass?
Brass silver plated?
Coper silver plated?
alouminium
alouminium silver plated?

Copper - Silver plated would be the best of all

AND I might add::

would like my Poldiac all shiny SS - Except for the three slotted caps - those in shiny brass - I think that would look epic indeed

I have to wait to order mine, (Christmas for the kids comes first now that my Geminii is on it's way lol).
But, when I order, I hope to receive Silver Polish over .... probably Brass, because brass is sturdier than copper, but if the copper is just as sturdy, then make it copper.
How's that for a clear as mud response. lol

You will want copper w/silver plating - that is best of all unless one had pure silver contacts and that is too expensive

That's exactly what I was planning to order! Although I'm wondering if brushed ss with polished brass rings would look great too and not be a fingerprint magnet.

POLDIAC has very small contacts, difficult to michine them with so soft material like coper is!
So as a standard will be BRASS with VERY THICK SILVER PLATED!!! and I mean THICK!!!
and I search more about coper and how to!

Jim you spoil us!

are you sure you are not Santa?
