JeremyR the juices made in Hawaii that I have used are higher in vg than pg usually since cloud chasing is the big thing here along with Volcano products. Only got one company where the specific ratio of pg/vg is listed as 25/75. I would be interested to know if you have noticed whether higher ratios of vg or pg gunk up the atty faster. I was thinking it was the sweeter/stronger favors which probably means it's the sugar. Hoping if I try higher pg I won't have to sacrifice flavor but I probably just like the sugar lol.

Well vg in itself is a sugar, it is even used to add sweetness to foods without addind calories.
Put a little on your tongue and you almost cringe from the overpowering sweetness.

Add in some sticky sweet flavoring, and coils are done in no time.

I run high pg, 70% and use pretty light flavoring.it takes a while for mine to get that baked on crud that kills the heat.

VG does have some sweetness, but nowhere near what you've experienced. a %95 VG ration has almost no taste, except for a VG aftertaste. As far as coil life goes, I run a %85-%90 vg flavoring with.. at the moment, spearamint gum and lemon bar cake... I've had the same coils for over a month, and they're still going strong.

Maybe you had some bad VG, or some sweetened VG.

The sweeter juices gunk for sure faster, so not nesesarily always just the stronger ones, but the sweeter darker ones for sure..

The reason I ask it because I feel in high humity climates the higher VG can become too most/ thickening in the lungs and cause some congestion.

When its a dry climate, winter here, VG is great as it moistens. Pg is more of a drying effevtct in the body. So if you have phlem or heavy chest feelings with 90-100% VG... you may want to increase pg to compensate for your humidity. You'll have to figure that out. 25/75 or 50/50 possibly depending on climate and how you feel from high to 100vg. If you have that issue.

VG does Not gunk faster in my experience. Unless you get poor wicking action with it. A dry coil causes gunk.

Thanks everyone. I will try higher pg, I was getting more phlem/ wheezing/coughing but found that switching to rebuildables solved that problem. I've got to clean my coil by the third day max and sometimes the same or next day depending on the juice. I usually put a new build on frequently too as the corrosion or speed of gunk seems to increase the older the coil. And that aftertaste I noticed too, some juice tastes great during the vape but after exhale I felt left with like this gross bad breath feeling lol. Also I tried adding som Now brand vg to juice and it seemed to make the juice perfume tasting. Still getting the hang of wicking too so wicks could be too thick but I am usually overkill on keeping it juiced getting used to dripping/sqounking again.
