Gah, I really hate these "I'm new, here's who I am" posts... but here ya go :)

I'm Candy and live in Austin, TX. Hubby has been vaping for a few years - quit cigarettes and never looked back. He's been through several set ups, but last year got the e-go system, which he loves and it works well. We're lucky enough to have several vape shops in town that make their juice there, etc.

I smoked until 16 years ago or so and quit cold turkey with no trouble. BUT I still pick up the habit now and then. This last time was 2 months of smoking and now an extended time on painkillers. For whatever reason, high begets high for me and I crave cigarettes like crazy. So, I told him to hook me up with a vaping rig. He let me borrow one of his extra batteries and a clearomizer and off I went. Been only a few days, but this is much better :)

I'm on 16 nic, but I'm vaping like a crazy person, so I'm going to head down to the vape shop for something a little weaker as I'm jittery and getting too much, I think. I seem to like cinnamon, vanilla and sweeter flavors. Which is funny because I usually smoke cloves and menthol analogs but can only do a few hits before I don't like them and switch out.

My equipment is nothing fabulous. I don't want anything too fancy or fussy. I'm using an Ego-C Pass-through upgrade battery, stardust clearomizers and my lovely "Cinilla" flavor vape. I also like the cherry limeade flavor. So, yeah, I tend to like the sweet ones :)

I ordered a smaller ego battery and a mini one along with a few more clearomizers of different types to try them out from an online place, but again, we have several shops here too. I just wanted something a little more girly :)

Not sure if this is something I'll toss back like analogs and pick up occasionally or whatever. I hope to get down to 0 nic eventually, but for now... whatever keeps me away from those nasty things... is a win.

So, yeah... Hi :)

Hi Candy. Welcome to the ECF. Good For You. I understand how you feel, I normally have my own sweet menthol loaded up or a cinnamon green apple so I'm with ya on the sweets. There is nothing wrong with vaping an ego and a clearomizer, It works and well too. You have good support and I'm sure you will be just fine once you find that perfect "sweet spot".... Happy Vaping.

Hi Candy... And welcome! I am new too, analog free now for a month and a half. Really enjoy vaping. I think the most important thing I have learned, especially from all of the great folks that are on this forum is it doesn't matter what you use or what you like as long as it keeps you vaping and off of the analogs. :D

So congrats! And happy vaping!

Rich

I thought so too, so I grabbed some of his 24nic and that left me climbing the freaking walls. I was only smoking a pack every few days, I think the nicotine is secondary to the "act" of smoking. We'll see though. We have several strengths here, I'm just going to grab a bottle of 10 or something and see if that helps. It's all an experiment at this point! LOL

Conversely, you might want to go to a higher nic, to actually satisfy the craving? Then you might not vape as often or for as long a duration. Just a thought

But whatever it takes is fine!

Let's see... C9, MT3, T2. I'm more of a tinker than hubby, he finds something that works and sticks with it. This could get expensive :) The Stardust work great, but I always wanna know if there's something out there better. Ha!

I love my vv Twists and Spinners and use them with Kanger clearos. What clearos have you ordered?

I'm very lucky that hubby has been doing it a few years. All you guys' "jargon" is overwhelming at first. ;)

The good news is that hubby knew what to set me up with. His first couple of forays into vaping were partial disasters because it was whatever you find at the grocery store or could order from Hong Kong. The first time I tried his, years ago, I got a mouth full of liquid from some cheap crap. Literally, the skin peeled off of my lips. Fun times.
