Hi! I'm Dawn and I've been a pack-a-day smoker for 25 years. I've never seriously tried to quit because I LIKE smoking. I don't like the stink, the smoke, the ash, the nasty ashtrays, the yellow tint on my windshield and walls or the occasional burn holes but I like the feeling of holding a cigarette, of having that calming come over me with the first drag, of having something to do with my hands, etc. Anyway, my mom has COPD and still hasn't been able to quit, nor my dad. I'm hoping that seeing me use the eCig without smoking analogs will encourage them both to switch.
I've been lurking here for about two months reading, reading, and reading! Too much information and way too many different kinds of eCigs. I finally decided on RN4081 because I, like most new to vaping, wanted the look-like-a-cigarette type and feel. I ordered a kit, blank cartridges, a pack of blank cartomizers and plenty of samples of eliquid (all VG)!
I realized quickly that this thing is too big, too heavy and just awkward. However, I really like a blend that I mixed up and I figured out how to pull to get a good throat hit. I have not smoked an analog for over four hours now! I have four left in my pack and I can't quite throw them away yet, but here's hoping!
I have a slight headache from the nicotine buzz of trying different flavors and generally just vaping my head off but that's to be expected. I've gotten a few mouthfuls of eliquid (yuck!) but I realized that I like filling my own. The prefilled ones I have are just nasty.
Anyway, sorry so long, just wanted to introduce myself. My five kids are going to be so happy they don't have to be exposed to that anymore!!

. Getting used to holding it was the hardest thing for me too, but after a bit it just seems natural. I've moved on to a beautiful wooden box mod and it doesn't feel weird anymore at all. I've gotten to where I like the feel of something solid and I think a cigarette would feel odd.
