A new, heartbreaking photo of the 8-year-old boy who was killed (while standing by the finish line) in the Boston Marathon bombing Monday has surfaced on the Web.

Martin Richard was the youngest fatality of three total deaths, and the photo shows him standing in a classroom, smiling a toothless grin and holding up a handmade sign reading, “No more hurting people. Peace.”

The photo shot across the Web Tuesday morning as Americans continue to mourn the loss of the young boy and two other people.

Following the attack, over 170 victims were hospitalized and 17 were in critical condition, according to authorities.
