Hiya Threnody!

I'm Deb, most call me Pandora due to Crackbook deciding my last name is a fake (but the one I invented works fine? Uhhh, okies) and I'm 48 and currently not sleeping in Wisconsin. I'm new to vaping--tried some disposables, liked the analog avoidance but hated the flavors, so I went looking around for a refillable set with good flavors and found the Vea from jcsmoke.com that I'm using now, my only set so far.

I'm disabled due to mega-back problems, but find a few ways to keep busy--I'm a soapmaker (actually I can make just about anything that uses scents--soy candles, incense, lotions, balms... if it reeketh, I maketh) and both my boyfriend and I are anime fans so we not only help run a couple of fan-driven conventions we also founded our own up here, which is not only enough to keep me busy but drive me batcrap crazy from April til our event in July each year.

I'm down to 6 analogs a day thanks to my Vea and kicking around quit dates to make it permanent. Funny thing is that I didn't actually buy an eCig system to quit, I just wanted to save some money and found I loved vaping, THEN found that most of the time analogs taste like monkey crotch (wonder if this is the right crowd for that one? Y'all are nuts! I like that in a person tho.) when you're not drowning in the smoke so much that you can't smell or taste it anymore, so cutting this far down in 5 days was easy. Also finding out that cutting further is going to be tougher--woke up having a nic fit and couldn't vape it away so I got out of bed for a bit to have one and found all the nice likes and hellos, so I popped in and found out just how nice everyone in the thread is.

Thanks for the welcome and letting me babble some. Nice to meet you guys

:vapor:

Hiya Pandora!! Wow, except for the anime, and starting with disposables, I think you're my northern clone!! Except my crafts have leaned more toward NA beadwork, leatherwork, dreamcatchers etc. And most recently paper crafts (scrapbooking/cardmaking with rubber stamps etc). I've wanted to try soy candles etc. I did do some soap once, (son had to do it in school so I helped). Very bad back issues, tons of pain, many of us here can unfortunately relate to that one. Used to squirt perfume in corn starch to make talcum powder for my neighbor lol I'm deb too but am 49.

Welcome and wahooooooo on the being down to 6 and looking at a stop date!!!

Oh, and our resident monkey will be by at some point to talk about the crotch lol Jup we're nutso, sounds like you'll fit right in!

I'm not much good with beading--I get impatient with little bitty parts of things, especially since I added a neck injury in a fall in March (docs are still figuring out ... I did then). Soap from scratch (start with lye and oils and working from there) is definitely a blast--the mad scientist living in my head comes out every time to point and giggle. Soy candles are fairly simple--the wax is actually an oil so it washes up with soap and water and there's a bit of mad scientist to it too, with figuring out which wicks you need with the scents... Sorry, I tend to babble when I start in on this kind of talk.

Anime's pretty fun too and I definitely love my sci-fi to go with it--saw someone in another thread with a Doctor Who prop converted to an eCig and wondering if anyone actually made that mod. If they did I know probably a blue million Doctor Who fans who'd yell "Shut up and take my money!" to get one.

Hello and Welcome!! I couldn't help but notice that you make soaps and lotions... so the chances are that you might be using Vegetable Glycerin as one of the ingredients. If so, then you already have one of the main components to make your own e-juice, too!! :)
All you need is to get yourself some nic liquid and flavorings, and you just might end up with another hobby and/or business to keep you occupied!!

Also, if you are still having cravings for those stinky cigs, you might want to think about going to a higher nic level... and one of the great things about DIY juice is that you can make it at whatever strength you want/need!!
