Hi,
Tried the e-mail order e-cigs about 2-3 years ago. They started out ok, but became harsh, batts failed and the attys, hung it up on those. Been lurking and trying to learn here.

Talked to local supplier here with a shop. He advises to start with an eGo of some type, push button. I don't need it to look like an analog. I'd like long lasting batteries and enough nic to come down off the 2 pack a day little cigars I get cheap on the Rez near me cheap. $10/carton. Supplier say he has 18, 24, and even 36mg(right units?) and will show me how to mix 70/30.

Really need to get off analogs, age and health. Had lung biopsy 4 weeks ago, lucky, no cancer. But some COPD and scarring from wreck many years ago.

Should I start at the 36, 24 or what do you suggest? If I don't have the nic hit, and I do mean hit, I'm a miserable snappy old jackass.

Sure is a wealth of experience and information here. I particularly appreciate lolady's thread, love the way she writes and states things. Can relate quite a bit.

Thanks

I started with 24mg because I wanted to kill the craving, and after a couple hits I could get lightheaded so it worked. Everybody's different, and it would be typical for him to let you sample something and see if it feels right before you buy. I'd ask for sure, and if a couple quick hits gets you going you know you can fight off the craving. You can always drop off later - I'm happy now at 18mg after eight months. The eGo advice is solid and a good long term vape. Good luck and welcome to ECF!

Hi Dodari,
I agree with what your local guy told you. I got the Kgo KGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit ; it's like Ego but has a stronger battery. I really like it. If you have questions, the guy who sells these is really patient; I had a million questions and called a few times. I also got some 1.25 dual cartomizers dual coil cartomizerfrom him, and those are my favorite so far. I think there is a discount code, ECF5.

For juices, I have been using 18 mg. juices; just started vaping 3 weeks ago. Try a few different kinds and strengths and see what you like. Get the smallest bottles you can.

I use an ego-t myself and love it. The ego overall is great. If you have someone that can help you along in person then you will have no problem. I started off not knowing a thing and ordered the wroong stuff a few times and got real frustrated. If you have any questions, this will be a great resource for you. I also reccomend starting with a wide variety of juices and nicotine levels. Your body will tell you what to start at. Good luck.

I don't recommend starting with 36. Try 24 in Boge 2 ohm cartos and LR atomizers and buy a small bottle higher in case you need it. Heat enhances nicotine's hit so LR cartos will give you more hit than you got an any slim ecig. I don't recommend 100% PG - the nicotine can be very irritating to mouth/throat/lungs in 100% PG but you could get some to arrive with your system then buy some PG/VG juice at one of the many real juice vendors.

PG is thin and lets through lets through flavor, nicotine TH and nicotine irritation best but makes weak looking vapor

VG is thick is dulls everything PG lets through but add thicker vapor

I like 80PG/20VG in cartomizers - for me 30% or more shortens the life of the carto a bit. 20% VG helps smooth out the irritation and add some nice vapor but leaves the juice thin enough to work in any carto.

Reservoir cartos and tank attys generally like 30% or less VG though some thinner 50/50's may work (some vendors thin their VG with water)

I think carto tanks can use higher VG and some can use higher VG in dual coil cartos. I recommend learning on Boge cartos first - 1ml, most popular cartos for 510-threaded devices, then you can try bigger or more complex cartos

Normal atomizer can use any PG/VG as long as it flows at least as fast as you vape it

I hope you get what you were looking for. I was a smoker and chewer for quite a while. I thought that I could handle 36mg. I was sadly mistaken and my body let me know it. It wasn't instantly though, it was after about a week I felt the full effects. I have since moved straight down to 18mg and am vaping quite happily. Everyone posted some good advice.

You may be surprised that you don't need as high MG does as you previously thought!

Best of luck, and I'm glad you are healthy! :vapor:

Went and got an eGo T this AM, and wow is it nice. Good smoke and good TH. Haven't had an analog in about 9 hours.

I purchased at Route 66 Vapor in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, across the Rio Grande from Albuquerque. Randy, the owner, spent a bit over an hour showing me how the ecig works and helped me picking flavors. Very knowledgable and helpful chap. Starting with French 36 for early in the day and French 24 for evening. Love the taste, aroma and especially the hit. Also got Turkish, same strengths but haven't had a chance to try yet, too busy enjoying what I got started on.

This forum has been a big help to me. Thanks.
