Hey peoples..

I've been vaping and lurking on here for about 3 months now.. I wasn't planning on becoming an active poster.. Just do some searching, get the info I need, and go do my thing.. but lately, I'm starting to have fun following some of the threads on here, so I figure I might as well get this show started..

I'm almost embarrassed to list my current lineup of mods since I've only been doing this for 3 months, but I'm a sucker for cool devices and can already see this hobby is going to end up being a problem for me.. :) Hence me deciding to just go ahead and make myself a resident here..

So far I've collected 6 Egos, the Itaste vv, Itaste mvp, Vapage XL, Provari mini and V2, a Z Atty pro, Zenesis Cobalt, and a Zen Sidewinder.. (and I'm not sure yet, but I think I bought myself a LE Hellraiser iHybrid tonight) and so far, I actually like all of them.. Although I do need to mess with the Sidewinder a little more..

I am absolutely loving this new hobby so far and have already gotten 5 other people to quit smoking.. After smoking for 22 years, all it took was one hit for me to ask myself... "Why the heck didn't anyone tell me about this vaping stuff sooner?!" I was hooked immediately..

So just getting this "new member" process started and wanted to say hello to everyone.. Hopefully I can meet some locals for possible future trades and vaping fun..

Oh and a Zmax v1 too..

Thank you for the welcomes.. :D

Here's where I'm at so far.. I'm really liking the cobalt.. Other than the looks, I wasn't impressed with it at all when I first got it, but after some tweaking, it's working great for me.. I really can't wait to get my hands on an iHybrid.. They just look amazing and from what I've read, seem to work really well..

My friends and coworkers who I've gotten to quit vaping are still on the Ego-C kits they started with.. They all shake their heads each time they see me because I seem to show up with a new device every time.. "NOW what is he smoking?" :D

Hello fellow NJ person... As long as the funds are available, and more so initially, think about it this way -- you replaced one fixation with another, just in multiple ways , and in doing that you allowed yourself even more so to switch from the first to the second.

I went from a lurker to an active poster to long periods without and occasionally come back.

Many times I think of the switch from cigs to eCigs like particular diets. With dieting there's a million options, some valid and some not, some that require drastic changes with long-term commitment before any results and then there are others that have immediate benefits, somewhat instant gratification and a feeling of what you said "why didn't someone tell me about this earlier?

As an example a lot of Atkins and Keto style diets have the ability (with limitations) to eat lots of foods people really love but otherwise would be taboo....and....by eating them get instant gratification where they are shedding 5-20 pounds in a matter of 1-4 weeks. This isn't much different from the eCig world where people find an easier transition, instant benefits and something else to not only fixate on, but to actually be happy about.....quickly.

Whether it's about equipment or flavors, the fact of mentioning it as a hobby implies enjoyment....and with the assumption that your original goal was getting off smoking not finding a new fun thing. The fact of replacing that with the typical "troubles of quitting" is a big deal...

Even if you goal is to relax the "hobby" part, or to eventually quit nicotine, you've crossed the hardest part already.

Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping, and may your journey be less expensive than you can afford! Mwahaha. Seriously, nice lineup. >.> Just got a Provari and a ZAP to go with it because I wasn't able to get my hands on any Zenesis or Hybrids, I envy you.
Aww poor you ;) that's exactly the setup I want  - how are you liking it BTW?
