Hello guy's im new here to the forum. But have been vaping for a little over 6 months. So im looking into getting a k100 mod i have been useing the volcano inferno for the time being.

So i like tanks so with the k100 i would like to use a tank on it. So i need to know what tank works best. Also i use my inferno alot so how like will the batt in the k100 last? Last thing is how hard is it to keep up and making it work like a top?

I suck at spelling so im sorry if i piss anyone off.

Thanks guys

P.s. I dont want to add a kicker to it just yet so out of the box how is it to the inferno?

K100 is good but I wouldn't recommend it with a Kanger Protank because it gets a little bit airy, unless you want to block out the 3 holes on the bottom or the 2 side holes on the Protank.

Try not to completely drain the k100 batteries. If you feel like the voltage on the batteries are low change it.
18350 battery last about 3-4 hours on heavy vaping
18650 battery last about 6-8 hours on heavy vaping

I don't know what tank to recommend maybe someone else can help you there.

As most people on here would, I'd recommend going with some type of vv (variable voltage) before going mechanical (which the K100 is). I started with an Inferno as well, and about 8 months later got a Lavatube v2. I was very happy with it, and since it has 510 thread you can use almost any tank you can find on it. I'd recommend an Artemas tank for that. It's built very solid and has a bottom lock so your carto's won't slip out.

If you must get a mechanical, I have never heard much about the K100, but it looks awesome and is cheap so I kinda want to try it myself. Been vaping for about 2 years now, currently I'm using a Smoktech Magneto. It's mechanical as well, about the same price, bottom button, and has a magnetic button so you don't ever have to worry about loose springs or the button falling apart (some mods have plastic holding the button in which will wear out after a while). Also, the Magneto is telescoping so you can fit anything from an 18350-18650 battery in it.

You can use carto tanks for mechanical mods, but keep in mind that mechanical mods are usually restricted to the voltage of the battery (3.7v, so you won't be getting much more performance out of a mech mod other than more battery life). If you want to stick to carto tanks then a vv mod is the way to go. This way you can adjust voltage and get large amounts of vapor. It will also affect how long your batter lasts and how long the carto lasts (more voltage means they won't last as long). Get some 3 ohm carto's and an Artemas tank. I used about 5 to 5.5 volts. Be sure to prime it properly (I used about 35 drops).

Battery life is dependent on the capacity of the battery (mah). A 3000mah battery will last longer than a 2400mah battery. Size (18650, 18350, etc) doesn't have much to do with it, other than the fact that it is easier to find larger batteries with high capacities than it is to find small ones with high capacities.

If you REALLY must get a mechanical mod, then try an RBA (rebuild-able atomizer). They are a pain to set up at first, but once you get the hang of it they are awesome. More flavor and you can get a lot of vapor if you do it right. I'd go with an AGA-T2. It's a genesis-style rebuild-able atomizer tank. Genesis style atomizers are very popular so you'll be able to find tons of help with it, and the AGA-T2 is pretty cheap and very solid.

There's nothing wrong with getting a mechanical mod and RBA's, just don't get discouraged. It took me about a week to get mine setup right, which is why most people recommend going vv first.

Just by reading your questions, you aren't ready for a mechanical. It's like comparing a dude ranch horse with a bucking bronco at the rodeo. Each has their use, but if you aren't ready for the bronco, you're going to get hurt.

Raise your expectations gradually. Rather than jumping straight into mechanicals, I would suggest an intermediate step like a Vamo or SVD. While using that, you may then want to start looking at RBAs and once you have that down pat, you should be educated and knowledgeable enough to dip your toe into the mechanical arena. There's a reason why most sites say mechanicals are not for new vapors. And until you understand why, you really shouldn't get into them.

Ok so i pulled the trigger and went to a vv. I got the sigelei Telescoping zmax V3 with kanger protank system. I also got some more kanger replacement coils in 2.4 ohm. So say i like to vape in 5 volts. How long should 1 new coil last? I want to step up my game and looking into the k100 mods the more i looked the more i have no idea ... is going on lol. So any info would be nice on this set up i got.

Thanks for all the info you guys have gave me so far.

It's all going to depend on the juice you use and how often you clean the head. I normally keep a head in the tank for 2-3 days, then toss it in a glass of water for a couple of days. I then remove it, take off the stem and remove the flavor wicks, then dry burn it until the coils glow evenly across the wick. Blow things out gently, put everything back together, rinse the head out and then let dry for inclusion in the rotation. I have about a dozen heads on the go (I'm using 4 Protanks and 2 PuriTanks) and usually replace one with a new head when it finally pops or otherwise goes bad.

Congrats on your z max. You wont regret it.

You would have regretted it if you would of went with the k100 unprepared. A mech mod unkicked with regular tanks is a very weak vape.

A lot of people here will tell you that only rebuildables are worthy of mechanical mods especially if its not kicked. And I agree... Just be sure to research before doing so as RBA's can be a little dangerous if used with the wrong equipment.

Here is a good place to start.

This is exactly what I do with my Protanks. haven't tried the Puritank yet (just the Davide) how do you like it?

Congrats on your new gear! :toast:

The Zmax is a nice beginner's entry into advanced vaping. Option to use different battery sizes is convenient to be able to use it in short mode for out & about use for more mobility, or when in longer mode having longer battery time like while at home.

The Kanger Protank is arguably the best clearomizer on the market. You made a fine choice. I've not noticed the so-called "airy draw" that some of its detractors complain about.

At some point you'll likely want to give a cartotank a try. These are my personal favorite juice delivery device. These have a slight learning curve involved, but with a little background knowledge and experience these may provide you with a superior vape when compared to the clearomizers.

I've made a cartotank setup guide which you can find in Blog Entries - E-Cigarette Forum - Baditude - Blogs - along with some other helpful articles designed for new vapors.

Welcome to advanced vaping!

Well almost a week on this zmax.... I must say wow i love this thing!!!! But now i want to try dripping with this thing....... My buddy that has a k100 mod i did dripping with killed it for me. I get some much better flavor and more vapor. So i have the zmax v3 and i was looking into this atty.
Empiremods Bridge Free LR510 1.8ohm
Would this one be ok to use on my zmax??

I also need to know what volts/watts to drip on.

Can anyone point me in the right place to start doing this/how to do dripping?
He was not very helpful at all

Thanks guys.
