Hi all I have an RX200 with a TFV4. I'm not getting hardly any vapor clouds out of the thing. Using 12mg nic juice. Halo Shamrock juice. I'm using the quad vertical coil that comes with the TFV4
40W and 290 F for temp.

I have no idea what I'm doing. Any help is appreciated. Getting better performance out of my Eleaf Istick mod with aspire mini tank.

First off, you need to increase the wattage. 40W is the bare minimum that coil operates at. You should start at 60W and increase in 5W increments until you hit close to your desired point.

Second, assuming it's a temperature control coil, 290F isn't anywhere near hot enough to make vapor. Neither PG nor VG boils until it reaches 370F as a minimum, and really doesn't produce good vapor until the temperature is around 450F. If it's a heavy VG juice (80% VG or higher) then the optimal vaporization point is even higher, often in excess of 500F.

Thanks, the main issue here, I didn't realize is that 12mg juice is overkill for this thing. That's why I can't get a good hit out of it.

Really? I disagree. You said there was little vapor, not that it was blowing your head off.

12mg is (realistically) too much for most but it has nothing to do with your issues.
Regardless, you don't want to vape a Kanthal coil in Temp mode....

This thread is a classic example of people not reading the entire first post before responding.

Question #1. What brand name and flavor juice is he using?

Answer: Halo Shamrock.

Question #2. What is the PG/VG mix of Halo juices?

Answer: Unless you're specifically ordering their high VG blends, it's 80% PG. Halo does not offer a high VG version of Shamrock, so his juice is 80% PG.

Now, that alone should explain the problem. It's an 80% PG juice. It's NOT going to give good vapor. This is juice made for their cigalikes and their Ego clone, it was never meant to be used in a subohm tank.

James, what you need is a high VG juice instead. Subohm tanks were made for thicker juices so your 80% PG juice will likely flood the coil. Also, PG generally carries the flavor but it's VG that produces the visible vapor. If you're wanting to see larger clouds then you're going to want a juice that is 80% VG or higher for that tank and mod.
