This is a little more than your budget but I was fortunate enough to have been recommended one of these within 30 days of starting to vape. I have not even looked at any other devices since then:

It's a REO grand. You just fill the onboard 6ml juice bottle with your favorite juice, put in a battery, screw on your favorite carto / atomizer / RBA, squeeze the bottle with your thumb to keep it wet and vape all day and night like a Rockstar.

Even with the carto /atty / RBA and drip tip It's smaller than all but the tiniest 18350 tube mods. They look bigger in pictures than they are in life. It runs on an 18650 battery. There is an even smaller model that runs on an 18490 and 3 ml of onboard juice.

It's the simplest, most reliable system available also highly pocketable and extremely durable. The come in many different colors too. Good luck and congrats :)

Here's a little vid to show you around the REO grand :)

The Gripper is a great stealth mod. The carto fits down inside which makes it extremely compact.
As I found out when I went looking for the link, it's even on sale right now.

I've got one of these. It's a great little stealth mod. That's a great deal for just $10! I use a button top AW 18350 IMR battery in mine (fits great). I use a 15mm halfling IBTanked pyrex cartotank with mine (3rd pic below).

Baditude, I was just wondering about the advice MV has about batteries in the Gripper. They say to put the battery in negative end first so that it will fit better and the endcap will close all the way.

I've heard that doing that is a bad idea. But, when I read it, they were referring to metal tube mods, not plastic. Is it safe to use the battery in the Gripper this way? Does the fact that it's not metal make it safer?

I use an AW 18350 IMR 700 mah battery in my Gripper. IMR's are shorter than protected ICR batteries, in addition to being "safer chemistry" (do not require protection). I put the battery in the Gripper positive end in first.

I'm pretty sure that Mad Vapes was talking about a protected ICR battery for the Gripper, which are longer length than IMR's. I stopped using protected ICR's over a year ago. IMR batteries are safer than protected ICR's.

I won't or can't say which is safer: metal vs plastic mod. You'll be using simple cartomizers, cartotanks, or clearomizers on the Gripper. Not the more dangerous RBA/RDA attachments which use homemade coils. I think you'll not have to worry about stressing the battery in a Gripper as long as you use a safe chemistry IMR.
