Hello everyone. I am new and have not tried an E cig yet. I do believe I will like it the more i look into mixing your own flavors and whatnot.

I had to quit smoking when me and my wife got together, she is bad asthmatic and would start coughing fiercely when ever she would smell it. Well I started chewing tobacco then. I would really like to quit but still need the nicotine.

My question to you guys is What would be a good starter kit for a Newb that will eventually want to fill his own carts? I know I will want to do this because I love doing that kind of stuff. but to start off with I would just like to order something and go.

my second question is what is a good place that I can order the kit and some liquids that has fast shipping? I am sure some of you vets have done all this so you know where would be the quickest to get my stuff to me at a decent price.

thanks in advance.

I will add that I would like it to be on the small side, those Ego's look to be on the rather large side. what does the regular joye 510 do in terms of a good throat hit?

I was intimdated by the online size "look" of the eGo also when I first saw it. That was the only thing that prevented me from getting one. It is actually much smaller than it appears to be. Fits my hand perfectly. The 510 will always have less TH because it is only 3.2 volts as oppsed to 3.7. I keep my 510 in my keychain holder for a back up, I never use it now unless I have to. Love my eGo.

Throat hit's OK, battery charge life sucks. If you go with a cigarette sized ecig get a couple extra batteries and an extra charger and be prepared to spend a good part of your day switching those things out. The eGo or Riva or Tornado (all basically the same) are about the size of a small cigar. they are the same diameter as a AA battery. They're not that big really.

I've tried a 510 and I have a 401 and right now my 401 is getting more flavor, vapor and throat hit than my buddy's 510. However I'm into the modding aspect and it's taken me a little over a week of trying mods and working on it to get it there.

However even out of the box my 401 worked pretty good. I use about three carts a day and usually change batteries once, maybe twice if I got to a bar.

OK, so if I go with an Ego do I need to get a 510 cartomizer or will I be good to go from the beginning? what is the difference?

thanks guys, I just don't want to be wasting money by not getting the right thing to begin with.

Your good to go. Comes with an atty and carts, just need juice(if it doesn't come w/ any). You can get cartos if you want them, I have a couple of the Mega eGo cartos. They are pretty cool. Hold 2.5 ml as opposed to .6-1ml for the standard carts/cartos.

Cignot is the highest ranking company for all around service, They ship so fast it is almost like they have an in with the post office. Their prices are good as well, you might try and save a few bucks going to other sites but honestly it pays to go with a company you can trust to fix any problems like a bad atty or battery.

Joye eGo

I also believe that all their products are genuine Joye and not knockoffs.

Definately go for the manual batteries, some people like the automatic, but most people me included much prefer the manuals, you just get more control over the hit.

This would be a kit that would have you set up for a long time. Just add juice and maybe a cartomizer or a low resistance atty if your looking for more convienence or a bigger hit.

OK thanks, But what is the difference between a carto and the regular setup? Also what is a good brand Juice?

cartomizer is where the atomizer and cartridge are one unit. 'regular' setup uses a separate atomizer and cartridge. Take a few mins and read some of the threads in the juice reviews forum here, lots of good US juice co.'s there.

I like the cartomizers especially at higher voltage. The Low Resistance atties are great if you are using a 3.7 volt ego, they get hotter quicker and act like a 5 volt setup.

Taste is such a subjective thing it's really hard to say what will work for you. In fact at the start you should really get sample sizes to figure out what you like and don't like and don't be surprized when your taste changes and ones you liked at first are no longer appealing.

So far I have only really fallen in love with a few liquids. My favorite being Very Berry from MadVapes.

60ml E-Liquids

Dog gone it they are sold out again. their 50ml size is also a good deal

50ml E-Liquids

But like I said you might want to stick with sample sizes at first. At least until your taste buds get back to normal and you find what really works for you.

Looks good. I was a Full Flavor smoker and started w/24 MG. I think 18 is closer to full flavor, but it is really subjective between vapers. I think some people inhale smoke less deeply than others. If you inhale smoke more deeply, the higher MG is probably better. I like to use some 36mg sometimes(in the morning) and the rest of the day I vape 8 mg(trying to cut back). On wiki there is a chart that shows most full flavor cigs at @14mg. It is very subjective.

18 seems like a good place to start. You will know pretty quick if it's enough for you or not. I prefer 24 but I was a roll your own full flavor menthol smoker.

personally I would add this.

510 Cartomizer

And possibly more juice. but then again I am a super heavy vapor. You will go through it pretty fast and plus you will have some you just don't care for. Sample sizes are a good idea though. No point in stocking up untill you find something you really like.

I am still not sure I fully understand what the cartomizer does that the regular setup does not? just combines both pieces into one?
Yes. It is one piece instead of 2 and it holds a lot more juice and saves from having to top off so often.

I smoked marlboro lights and tried to start vaping at 18mg and had to move up to 36mg and now vape at 24mg.

Best juice I have found so far is from tasty vapor. My current fav is tatsty finger. Waiting on an order from vaporbomb that should arrive tommorrow so this may change soon
