Hey guys, I'm currently running an rDNA 40 w/Atlantis tank. Just switched over from a nautilus mini and my mind is blown with this sub-ohm vaping. My next step is to get into rebuilding and dripping for home use.

One question for those with the VS rDNA 40, when I screw in the Atlantis tank I would get a message reading "new coil up same down" and won't fire for a couple of seconds. After that though it fires just fine. Its set at 20watts atm

What is your question?

After watching the pbusardo vid about the new dna40 chip is that your mod asks that each time you are switching from one set up to another. If you are putting in different rda or coil from the previous one on your device, the dna40 chip just wants to know if it needs to check the new setup to configure it to the chip because the coil is not recognized. That's what i took from the vid anyway... Hope this helps

Here's the link

That is because temperature-control is activated.

1 - Click 5 time on the fire button to lock it.
2 - Press and hold the + and - button to access temperature-control
3 - press and hold the + button until you see "OFF" on the screen
4 - Click 5 times on the fire button to unlock your mod.
5 - Vape and enjoy.

Temperature control requires TPC coils to function properly.

Haha yes, woofer the question was about that "error" message, and what it was about. Sorry I didn't clarify that lol.

You guys rock.and thank you for the quick replies. She's vaping just fine now. I'm way too happy with this setup. Looking forward to this forum and these baby clouds.

It's not really an error message. The DNA 40 checks the coils a lot, 100 times a second while the fire button is pressed and periodically for at least up to one hour after you set it down. We are told the DNA 40 is building a profile on how this coil behaves. It automatically tries to determine if the coil it is about to fire is the same coil or a new coil, when it's not certain it will ask. When it is certain it will not ask. Just answer the prompt message by pressing + or - as appropriate.

Glad she is working for you and hope this helps! :)
