I am happy to say my halo triton starter kit will be here today (it was supposed to arrive yesterday :/). I am hoping this will allow me to kick cigs for good, and I've been reading that the triton is very very good.

Of course ordered a sampler pack of juice and midnight apple :). In two weeks I'm ordering a vv battery, some more tanks and extra coils, kind of sad that I just purchased it and already want to buy more stuff lol.

Well at least today will be a good day, first day of no cigs.

Welcome to the group! I think you will love the Triton, it is what got me off the cigs. One hint for you drink lots of water. E-cigs will dry you out and you don't want what is called vapers tongue. One more thing don't pressure yourself to flat out quit. Some folks can do it, others may take a few days or weeks to wean yourself off. Just count the cigs you did NOT smoke!

Lots of good folks here so if you have questions ask away. We'll help you figure things out!

If you want to play check out the chat thread, anything goes there with great fun and lots of laughs.

Hey congratulations! You'll really enjoy the Triton, and don't feel bad about already looking at more "upgrades", in the end it's still cheaper than analogs!

On a side note, don't beat yourself up if you crave an analog once in a while, it'll take time to kick the cravings. And if you end up giving in to that craving, well that's natural too. My personal experience proved to me that getting up earlier and having some time to puff on the e-cig helped a lot and beat down the cravings to go to the store when I went out the door to work in the morning. Some veteran vapers recommend a higher nicotine juice for your morning vape if mornings become a problem.

Good luck and enjoy!

Congrats! The Triton is a good tool to help get you off the analogs. But it's still the mental part that you have to get over to get off the cigs. When I quit them, I treated it like a war vs Philip Morris. Every day was a battle and I refused to lose. I'm a sore loser so it worked out great for me. That tactic may or may not work for you idk. But that's the way I approached it and I beat it.

The other posters in this thread are correct. Mornings were tough on me at first also. I got up earlier in the morning myself and had 2 Halos loaded with Torque 56 18mg nic. I chained those for 10 minutes and that killed my morning cravings.

Every day is going to be a battle/struggle. Take it personal and win the day everyday.

Victory is yours and no one can stop you. Fight on my friend!

The first month, with my triton, I was still smoking ciggies a bit during the day. That got less and less each week, and finally when it came time to buy the next can of tobacco I was able to resist buying it. That was 2 months ago (almost) and no cigs since.

What I am trying to say, is dont beat yourself up too much if you slip a bit, just keep your eye on the long term goal and not get too discouraged by the day to day struggle.

And yes!!! lots of water!!!

Thanks everyone for the warm responses. I figured it might be hard to quit cold turkey so I expect a slip up or two, but who knows maybe I can resist it. Like you all said, just a day at a time, if I can smoke at least one less cig a day, that's a win right :).

Thanks for the tip about the water, didn't know that.

Don't forget to pick on an extra USB charger on your next order. It is good to have backup for the important battery charging. Also, having two chargers allows us to charge two Halo batteries simultaneously. I do this every day. ;)

Congrats on choosing Triton. I quit a 25 YEAR habit the minute my Triton starter kit arrived here and have NOT SMOKED SINCE. :toast:

I'm loving the trident, best decision I've made in a long time.

Gaaah! I hate this mistake!

It's Triton! Not Trident! Not Tritan!
