Hi fellow Halons.

I hope this finds everyone well and that you had a wonderful weekend. I just created my first thread on Friday, and received MUCH helpful advice from several people, in particular, Evie and GreenLeaf, among several others, and thank you to you all! I'm looking forward to posting here and chatting with y'all in the future!

About 2 weeks ago, I bought a G6 starter kit (black, 78mm manual batteries), and have been doing much research over the weekend into upgrading to a Triton starter kit. After coming to the realization that I am simply too lazy/cheap to be screwing around with mods, paired with the fact that I do not think that I would like a PV that is too much bigger than the Triton, I pulled the trigger and bought a Triton starter kit (black 650 mAh batteries) yesterday and cannot wait for it to arrive!!! For my G6 order, though, the shipping was very, very rapid, so I doubt I'll have to wait long.

I had initially planned to order several other things for the Triton with the order (such as some of by beloved smoke tanks - which look awesome with the black batteries - as well as 2.2-2.4 replacement coils, etc.), but thought I'd wait to place a separate order for them so that I could get free shipping on my juice that I will redeem my points on, and, hopefully, wait for Halo to issue another sale such as their Memorial Day sale (double points, and 10% off everything). I wonder if they do any sales for 4th of July?? With my starter kit order, I used a googled coupon code (SUMO) for 5% off Triton starter kits, and bought 2 smoke Triton tanks, and my order came to just barely above the $75 for free shipping.

Well, I would love to get any advice from you all regarding any upcoming sales, as well as any accessories for a brand-new Triton user that you would highly recommend. The recommended items from other threads I've read seemed to largely include more Triton tanks, the 2.2-2.4 coils, and, of course, a VV battery (but I think that I might wait a bit for ordering the latter). Thank you all, and this is such an awesome forum!! I feel very welcome here. :D

Velcome to the family.
Triton is a good system, A VV is a nice battery, but once you get one you will not use the non VV as much.
I recently donated my 2 triton 650s and tanks to family members, still working well after 8 months.
These batts and tanks last a long time, and if you happen to get a bad product, Halo will replace it.

And yes the Halo forum is the BEST forum on the interwebs.

You made it longer than me without reordering...I started with the triton starter kit and the very next week I ordered the VV battery another tank and another sampler and coils...Shipping is fast...it sounds like you've done your research. I haven't tried the G6, but I know I love my Triton VV for home or casual-out-n-about use as well...and Im with you on ease of use and the triton delivers that. Glad to have ya around! :)

Thanks for your replies! I am definitely planning on getting a VV at some point, but, like Supergrover mentioned, I am worried that if I do buy the VV too soon, that I'd not use the 650 mAh's too often. So I plan to probably use those for quite awhile, to burn the battery down and get some "bang for my buck". It sounds like they will most certainly be a big step up from the G6's - which I still plan to use until the batteries run down. Thanks!

Welcome aboard Cherokee.

The 650mAh batteries are handy for when you need something pocket friendly, not that the VV is all that bad.

They are just so darn cute.

Thanks jwb! Cuteness overload, indeed. I love me some black pugs. :) My brother-in-law has 4, that's right - FOUR, pugs (two of which are black)! I am very, very much a "dog person", but even I would find 4 pugs (plus their 2 little boys) to be a whole lot to handle. Now, one of those little guys pictured above..... I could get used to that!

I knew you would pull the trigger after some research! Plus you got 10ml of Menthol X. :)

I felt like a kid on Christmas morning when my Triton came in. The biggest difference is the overwhelming amount of vapor and flavor compared to the G6 you're so used to. Plus a battery that lasts all day is nice too.

There should definitely be an Independence day sale. Halo tends to be nothing if not reliable with holiday sales every year. In the meantime don't forget our super secret "ECFTEN2014" coupon for 10% off all ejuice, all the time!

I prefer higher ohm coils, but that's me. VV's are great, however I feel like they can't be appreciated until you're ready/want to make the jump.

If you ever have questions don't hesitate to ask. The only thing we like as much as vaping, is talking about vaping. ;)

So nice to see others discovering the awesomeness that is Halo! Really glad you came to ECF and found the Halon family helpful! You'll definitely love and be blown away by the Triton. Be sure to pick up a couple of extra tips and another charger whenever you place you next order. There's no need to overly tighten the tip in the tank but many do and it possibly could lead to them cracking (especially if you forget one in your pocket and sit down!). Everything about the Triton system exudes quality and I've never had any of the "usual" problems with leaking, gurgling, etc that many other brands' similar products regularly exhibit! I use mine everyday....all day! :) Welcome to the family fellow Halon! :)

i can get 8 bottle shipped for $25 takes a month, but if I'm running low and need it quick, it's $70
$25 is the cost of a pack of stinkies in a convenience store here.
Wow! $25 for a pack of 20? Unbelievable. I thought New York City was bad at $14.

Just wondering, what do you pay for gasoline? Or beer? (the essentials, lol)

I don't know why, but 25 is the standard pack size in au, so it's $1/nail, the same pack is oh, i don't know, about $18 from a supermarket
$13 is the cheapest legal cost of a pack of 25, and BT just started selling a $13 pack. au has plain packaging, all stinkies are in a puke
green box, so brand loyalty dropped and people are switching to the cheapest puke green box.

petrol is atm $1.50/litre, google says that $4/gallon
beer is $15 for a 6 pack for local beer
bacon is free, you just plant a bacon tree in your backyard and pick the rashers when they curer from the branch.
