So, day three for me and the battery and atomizer are working just fine.

I got some glycerin and lorann peppermint flavor at walmart. Mixed about half and half water and glycerin and put a tiny drop of peppermint in the mix. I emptied a cartridge and put a few drops of the mix on my atomizer. Lots of vapor (compared to before). The taste wasn't that great but it wasn't bad either. It kind of tastes like a candycane. Way better than the liquid that comes with this device. I'll probably pick up a different flavor tomorrow.

My friend and I ordered two of these from eBay. For the record, this is the first e-cig I've tried. I took some drags off of my friend's before opening mine. My friend popped on a "Marlboro" high cartridge and it tasted like absolute hell. I'm a Marlboro Lights smoker and the Marlboro cartridges that came with the Health E-Cigarette are not only plainly horrid, but also leave a nasty after-taste that lingers for 10 to 15 minutes.

The taste is like...hmmm akin to something like cheap dollar store air-freshener. The kind where you naively spray in a room but soon realize that the odor you were trying to cover up was actually much better than the smell of the air-freshener. It's like that, but in your mouth. I'm a pretty tolerant person...but this is not a taste I could simply bare with and get used too. The taste just makes me really feel sick...it...it...lingers! Even after smoking a real Marlboro Light, the taste lingered in my mouth and throat.

I smoked this last Friday and it's Sunday...and I swear I can still taste it.

As for the e-cig unit itself, it comes in a neat little cigarette box shaped package. It does function, but it's really really hard to take a draw from. It really is like sucking a thick milkshake through a straw.

I paid about $30USD shipped for this. I was kicking myself in the pants after I found the DSE901-B for $30USD shipped on eBay. I would say avoid this e-cig like the plague and go for the DSE901-B on eBay for the same price.

Great dude, I just bought two of these.

I'm almost thinking about canceling the order and getting a refund before they even ship my health-ecigs out. I looked for a whole day to find a decent e-cig and thought that would be a good one to start with.

I need to find someone selling in California that will sell me a kit with TWO full working e-cigs for under $60. The price of $80 for one kit is just way to expensive.

The Health E-Cig was my first introduction to vaping and it's really not all bad. Hell, it got me interested enough to look for a more permanent solution.

Anyway, if you don't mind a little wait you can get two complete 901 kits from China for $60 shipped at http://www.e-cigarette-mart.com/black-dse901-mini-ecig-starter-kit-5-cartridges-free-p-81.html.

When I first looked at the images provided for the "Health" on the "Deal Extreme" site, I thought it looked like it might be a M401 clone. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Also, the current price is at $11.82... For that price I could almost justify buying it for the box alone. I'm looking to make a case for my RN4081 gear. My thought is to tear out the recharger and drop the frame into one of my old leather analog cigarette cases. Anyone know if the diameter of the holes are a compatible size for the battery, carts, etc?

As an alternative, does anyone know where I might be able to get my hands on one of the old "E-pack" and how much it may cost?

You know, I hadn't really thought of that. The 401 has the atomizer housed in the body along with the battery, right? While I have only seen pictures of the 401, the Health E-Cig I had certainly resembled the 401 pictures very closely. I think you might be right.

It is a M402 clone actually. It is the exact length of my M402. The differences are in the atomizers and cartridges. The health atty is longer than a M series and the cartridges are shorter than the M series. My health charger will not charge my M402 batteries. The health battery will power my M402 attys though. The contacts are just at slightly different levels.

I have a set of the Health Cigarettes that come in the white box with the picture of the ocean on it. I didn't use them much because I found them difficult to use, especially compared to my EVO's that work very well. But they were cheap and I figured I'd give them a try just as a backup.

Out of the box, they drew ok, but you really had to pull on them to get them to switch on. They also had a healthy whistle to them. I had an atomizer die on one of them, and decided to tinker a bit. Took the atomizer apart and found one of the wires was shorting out. That was easy enough to fix, but when I had it that far apart, I got the motivation to really tinker much more with the whole thing.

Got rid of the whistle by opening the intake hole on the battery a tiny bit with a pin vise and some micro drill bits I have for modelling. I also chamfered the outside of the hole which also helped and made it very quiet. The switch that turns on the battery is nothing more than diaphram with a brass or copper bar attached to it. It was easy to lessen the gap between the diaphram bar and the contact bars it hits to turn on the battery. That made it much more responsive without making it turn on randomly. The wick material within the aomizer coil pretty much fell apart when I pulled it out of the coil. I replaced it with the inner material in a Zippo wick which I found to be almost identical to the original wick.

It was out of pure boredom that I did all this, and was a pure case of "For S's and G's", if you know what I mean. It really didn't take long at all to do, and the end result actually ended up being worth the trouble. It works a thousand times better than it did when I got it. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself, unless you are very comfortable with electronics and whatnot, since modifying the pressure switch could lead to the ecig staying on constantly, consequently killing the atomizer, battery, and possibly overheating the battery and causing a fire. But it was an interesting experience, and between that and these forums I feel comfortable enough that I could keep my atomizers going indefinately. The batteries, on the other hand, are another story, lol...

Ok, so I just had my first 15 or 20 puffs of this "Health" ecig...not nearly as bad as I expected!

It'getting much harder to draw vapor and the production seems to have decreased but this is right in line with what others have said here.

The flavor seems to be getting worse and worse but not as bad as cat urine, at least not yet... I'm really looking forward to getting some decent juice...
