By the way, Mixos' thread on LoongTotem got diverted, hijacked and became a public brawl, so I'll post here that I asked him to send me some used cartridges, to see if an adapter ring could be fashioned. He sent me both new and used cartridges and they arrived today.

Keeping hte thread alive, My brother had a thought yesterday that if we have batteries where the male threads are just a bit too big to fit the loong carts, the threads could be taken down with a 'tap and ide' set I believe it's called- or a 're-threader' or whatever ya call it- My bro has a set, but I got thinking that if it could be done, would it mess up the charger when recharching hte modified battery? I've only got one charger from Loongtotem & if it goes kaput- I'm out of luck

Thanks for the vid, Mr. Darcy. It does show the convenience...and that the vapor is a little on the wimpy side but that was just a puff, so it could be different. :D

Like T-Bob says, if it would last two weeks with dripping, that would be an awesome disposable. The price comes out to be 3 and a half packs of cigs plus whatever juice you use...still comes out to a hell of a lot cheaper than cigarettes and less stress on the nerves than fiddling around with hundred dollar devices.

T-Bob, you are our guinea pig, right? I'd be curious if you have problems with liquid in the mouth. That's the problem I had with the super minis. Especially the Health e-cig. And the Health e-cigs were murder to draw on.

Naz, this battery looks identical to my old Health mini cig battery. That one does not have threads that will screw into LoongTotem carts, but it is deep enough to make contact and function when held in place. My Janty Kissbox battery has the same threads as the LoongTotem carts, but doesn't have the depth to make contact. A simple metal extender could complete the electrical flow.

But ... if this is the same as the old Health battery, then at least I'll have TWO batteries for the new package model. Since that model only comes with one battery -- with a 5-hour recharge time -- I'd be without the e-cig in probably half a day. With two batteries, I can rotate usage and recharge time, making this potentially even more useful.

I was fine with the vapor exhaled in the demo video. That was enough. Now the question remains of what does it taste like. That, however, I can probably alter with Bickford flavor.

FYI: Mailman came, mailman went today. No package from China yet.

It came!

And it's a little miracle. The miracle? It works.

You're not going to see a video just yet, because I seem to have misplaced the AC adaptor for my videocamera. I did a four-minute video off the laptop camera, and the result looked like I had one of those shaky diseases. So the video will have to wait.

First, the battery does not fit LoongTotem.

The battery is actually a shorter model of the one with the first Health mini cig I purchased long ago. That means, at least, that I have two batteries that will work in this unit.

The first thing I noticed is that the draw is difficult. A light inhalation does nothing. No LED light comes on. No heating of the atomizer. It requires a hard pull to get this started. Not a lot of vapor is produced either.

So I swapped out that short battery for the old, longer Health battery. And things changed. Suddenly, the draw was easier. The light came on right away. The vapor was plentiful enough to make me bark a cough on several uses. I'll keep making notes in the coming week on the two batteries, but the one that comes with this unit might be a stop point for purchase by some.

That said, this is an amazing e-smoking device at an amazing price. The unit comes in a package about the same size as a flip-pack of commercial cigarettes. The outer cover is a cardboard-like material, but the inside is hard plastic, with holes for six cartridges, the battery and the atomizer-cartridge.

At the bottom of the pack is a slide that controls electrical prongs for American sockets. Slide the prongs out; slide back to retract them. Screw the battery into place in the pack, plug the pack into the wall socket and wait for a tiny light on the front of the package to turn green when charging is complete.

At work, screw the battery into the pack and it recharges from power stored there.

I'll be back to this as I use it more. But it can't be overstated what an incredible value this is. $17? I can't even get SHIPMENT of carts from LoongTotem for that. Or E-Cig for that matter. The $17 purchase price -- for six cartridges, an atomizer, the charger pack and the battery -- included free shipping from Hong Kong. I ordered Aug. 1; it shipped Aug. 8; I received it Aug. 13.

Wow. Can't wait to start dripping these carts.
