Hi all... I'm new to the forums. Very new.

I went to the smoke shop the other day, and bought a Blu starter kit instead of cigarettes. I like it. I like the ecig alot now that I've spent a week with it.

BUT, I'm not sure that I like the battery life with the Blu.

Is there another good alternative that is automatic, uses 510 cartos, and has a carrying case/charger similar to the size of a cigarette pack?

I'd be interested in hearing what others use.

Again, I love the convenience and size of the Blu. If nothing else, I may upgrade to the Blu Premium 100.

Hi Jang0 congrats on making the switch and welcome to the forums! I have been vaping for 8 months and I started on slim automatic batteries too. I discovered through my experience that the automatics are problematic since juice from your carto or atty tends to leak and get into the inside of the battery and cause failure. I then changed to the manual batteries and found that to be a much more reliable device. If you would like to go to a larger battery with more life you could go with a tube style mod that uses a battery that is removable and placed on an external charger. I think all of these larger battery style devices use a manual button. Something like the Bolt from altsmoke or Bombshell from hot vapes use a large high-drain battery that will last a lot longer than the slim batteries. These devices with larger batteries are also larger than a slim battery like the blu you are using but I think it's a small compromise for a better device.

jang0,
I would recommend looking into getting some sort of eGo battery, made be Joyetech. The eGo is the ecig for beginners and veterans alike. Good battery life, low price, on/off feature to prevent accidental/pocket firing. I have 3 eGo batteries, and still use at least one of them on a daily basis.
Congratulations on making the switch, if that is what your going to do. The benefits to vaping are endless, and I can't really think of any negatives. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, there are tons of great people here on ECF with tons of knowledge.

If you get a small cigarette looking device like a blu cig you're always going to be charging it. Pretty much you have to vape it and put it in your PCC (Personal Charging Case) all the time. I personally prefer function over form. Instead of looking for something that looks like what you're trying to be rid of in life, cigarettes, try getting yourself an EGO Twist (1000mah) from AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | AltSmoke.com | eGo-C Twist Battery and an EGO charger. Yeah, it's a pretty long battery, but with that size it will also last you probably 2 days before you have to charge it and you're going to be sitting in clouds of vapor, not little puffs like that Blu you got. The variable voltage capability means you can dial up or dial back the voltage to get the right vape for whatever juice or carto you are using. The EGO Twist is a 510 connection, and the most inexpensive, high quality, and versatile unit on the market. 2 batteries, plus a charger will set you back around 62 bucks after shipping. More people here own EGOs or knockoff EGOs than any other style or brand on ECF. They are on sale right now and Altsmoke is the cheapest price I have seen on the internet.

BTW: Blu was bought out by the company that sells Newports so please don't support big tobacco. We know you didn't mean to so we forgive you. Recommend you sell it to a friend or a stranger and get it out of your life. :)

If you want to stick to the smaller batteries you should check out Volt, they have great cs and they even have some batteries that are a bit bigger but still fit their cartos as well as having cartos you can refill. If you like the taste of the Blu their juice comes from Johnsons Creek. It is their 100% PG.

If you don't mind going bigger then the ego or kgo is a good choice. The ego or kgo tho are manual batteries, so you would need to push a button each time you take a pull off it. This might seem strange at first, but you will find it gives you a lot more control as well as better th and vaper.
