New Here...hello all!

Hi guys! I've been lurking on your forum for a few days doing my research to buy a start up kit. Thanks to all of you, the information here has been wonderful!

I've been a smoker for almost 15 long, expensive years.
I've been trying to quit on and off for about 5.
Lots excuses and ultimately failure on every time.

But I have to say - I think this may be it. This is the very first time I've actually been excited to quit.
A friend just offhandedly told me that these things helped her quit, and the more I've looked into it the more it sounds like just the right crutch for me.


Waiting for it to arrive, and smoking my last pack of "analogs" ... may it be my last pack ever!

Welcome to ECF! vaping let me quit the stinky sticks. With the right nic level, I didn't have a single craving. There have been occasions where I've wanted one (situational mostly), but I just grabbed the pv & vaped away that "itch".

Ok: Smoked Marlboro Lights. Started out at 18mg. Within two weeks, 12 mg. because I was vaping so much that I gave myself headaches overdosing on nicotine. Not much longer after that, 6 mg. When I have a jones for a cigarette (and I still do, but very, very rarely), I've got 12 mg in a strong flavor on hand.

Caveat: everybody's different!

Welcome and congrats!! I started vaping about 4 months ago and haven't had a cigarette since and all because of vaping! Like others have said, find the right juice nic level and device and you'll be off the cigs forever!

For the person who asked about nicotine levels: I smoked lights (non-brand name, as my husband and I rolled our own using light tobacco and filter tubes) for years. Started at 24, almost immediately dropped to 18. I'm considering dropping a bit further still, but haven't done so yet, although I'll probably consider doing it in the next couple weeks.
