Hi all, I'm new. On and off vaper for a couple years now and obsessive spender of money on mods & rebuildables chasing the clouds & flavor. Cheers.

So I've had my favorite mod & rda stolen a while ago and recently I've been wanting to get back into it, so I dusted off my next best thing which is an azeroth rta that I never bothered to clean after I stopped using it a good year and a half ago. I know I should have but I was so frustrated with the constant leaking I figured I'd never use it again. The juice left on the deck actually turned into a black goo I managed to soak then scrub off with a toothbrush, toothpaste and soap but the screws look rusted/corroded and are too tiny to hold and scrub. Does anyone know of a way to clean them? Thanks!

Welcome to ECF, DankCloudsYo. Try soaking the screws in alcohol (like vodka (straight, not flavored) or everclear) for a while (like 4 hours at least probably) then rinse them off or scrub away in a paper towel bundle, maybe that'll help. If not you may have to buy some new ones. If the screws are certainly rusty, just buy or get some new ones, don't even waste your time cleaning them. Make sure the holes that the screws go in are clean too.

Since these screws are so tiny, it's almost impossible to scrub/wire brush them clean no matter how you clean them. Whatever plating they had is probably long gone and if you manage to clean the rust, they will just discolor/oxidize rapidly again. Suggest you take the screws to a local fastener shop in your area* and get replacement 300 series stainless steel screws.

Hopefully, there is enough usable thread on the end of screw to match up. Take it in, find a nut that threads on, then find screws that thread into the nut (obviously get a bunch of extras if you really like the tank) I was going suggest just moving on to something else, then I looked it up and liked it... hope you can get it up and running again!
