Hmmm... maybe there's a market gap... some kind of ventilated "bomb bag" for vapers. I can totally see some framework made from light materials and a flame ......ant/proof and somewhat shrapnel resistant fabric put over that like a little tent, with passive ventilation from indirect holes at the bottom and top. Easily disassembled for ease of transport.
The main functions would be to prevent injury and contain a failing device so it can't fly around like a rocket, as well as prevent burning debris from getting thrown around. Are you buying yet?
Fear is always a good selling point

I've lived through two house fires where both was a total loss. Escaped both times with the clothes on my back and my life, and the lives of my children.

My daughter died and I have nothing but the handful of pictures I took of her between the last fire and her death...

Don't discount things people want to do to be just a little safer..

I think a sewn kevlar bag would work.

It's fire resistant, shrapnel resistant (use it to stop bullets), light, and weaved so I assume there's passive ventilation.

I lived through a very minor (well, I guess) house fire where pretty much the underside of the house was killed. The husband woke up halfway through got the pets and the main stuff out, then decided to try and put it out while calling the fire department. I am so grateful he did, because this type of home tends to go up in flames in the first 10 minutes. While it would have been very nice to just unload a new manufactured home on the property I am sentimental. We just finished out our claim (18 months later) and it was a TON of work and disruption.

And it was... minor.

That's not how that was meant, apart from the last sentence there was no joke in there (might be a bit too german in taste).
I'd probably buy one myself ;)
Kevlar seems good, still got some here from my fencing days.
But I doubt it would let enough air through to cool something, some holes would still be needed.
Who knows, maybe I'll make a prototype on the WE.

I do straight sarcasm sometimes, so your throwing in the last sentence seemed an implication of sarcasm to the whole post... but your quite right, it may easily have just lost something between languages and manners of speaking.

Anyway, I do agree with you... something fireproof with ventilation might be good.

Only problem with a Kevlar and Nomex fire bag including a cooling system to keep interior temperatures down, is that the average vape shop owner is not going to be driving a ton of new business in with that in the front window.

A nonflammable surface away from direct sunlight (why add extra heat) with a responsible person on the premises during charging is about as safe as you can realistically expect the average person to carry out. And even with that there will be rare failures. That's going to be true so long as the chemistry of our batteries remains the same.

The above also applies to anything else you charge like phones, tablets, laptops, and whatever else. Leaving your phone plugged in all night next to your bed on a box of Kleenex isn't such a great life choice either.

Now, it may have been slightly ridiculous of me, but after reading this stuff, I put away my smok prince and borrowed my friend's juul because she says it's completely safe to use
Welcome and glad you joined.
Good idea to be overcautious, it cost a little time which will be re payed in the form of piece of mind.
