New here need some advice from fellow brits....

Hi all, as i said im new to the forum and to vaping, i got a skycig for christmas off my girlfriend and it was going great till the cartomizers ran out of flavours i like then it was back onto the cigs.... today tho i drove about an hour to a sstore that sells 'wicked' E-liquid and bought my first two samples, i got apple and vanilla and am very pleased with the flavours although i think it would of been better if i bought blank cartomizers inted of refilling my old menthol and cherry ones lol.... either way not had a cig all day and dont 'need' one either....

Anyway after that rambling few questions to help a noob out....
i find when i vape alot i get a bad peppery sensation on the back of my throat im guessing this is from the nicotine? i bought 18mg soloution as i consider myself to be a relativley heaver smoker should i buy a lower strength next time to stop this peppering?

Next thing is how do i go about vaping in public? i was at the trafford centre today and wouldnt vape in shops or were people were walking right into the clouds of vape i also felt quite uncomfortable about vaping in a no SMOKING place such as the trafford centre, is this normal? do you ask permission before you vape anywere? i got plenty of funny looks whilst vaping today in a no smoking public place but i made sure people could see the bright blue light at the end of my skycig so didnt get any hastle

Well done on your vaping journey so far Henney, make sure you keep well hydrated as vaping
can be quite drying, especially if you're a ' chain vaper ' that could maybe be giving your
throat a prickly feeling, if you're not drinking enough.

It could also be your body's reaction to detoxing from tobacco cigarettes and adjusting to
vaping.

As for vaping in public, I don't in places where smoking isn't allowed as a rule, although I did
recently have a crafty stealth vape in Tesco's, down a quiet aisle to help me cope with the
utter madness of the Christmas Food Shop.

haha yeah im drinking plenty ive noticed it makes ur throat quite dry, i think i need lower strength liquids i got 18mg and its quite harsh on my throat sometimes any places you recommend ordering from i just got sum apple and vanilla from wicked e liquids the vanilla is great but the apple can be quite harsh and it isnt as strong a flavour as id like, i think the harshness is from the 18mg insted of the 11mg i should of got lol, im also noticing im like always hungry after vaping, anyone else get the munchies with vaping?

Lol . . . no munchies for me, I vape mainly dessert type flavours now Henney, that I've
mixed to a strength to suit my clapped out taste buds. If anything, they stop me from
wanting to shovel the same candy goodies into my mouth.

Hi Henny,
Don't give up on the 18mg flavours you've got. Pop into your nearest Big supermarket and buy some Glycerine from the pharmacy. Less than £2 for 100 ml. Then get some food flavouring from the baking section. They do vanilla (extract is better than essence) peppermint, strawberry, lemon and maybe a few more depending on which shop you visit. Just make sure it is water based not oil.
When you get home dig out one of your empty bottles from your first lot (you did keep them?) and divide one of your new flavours into 2 equal lots. Top it up with the glycerine until you have doubled the quantity. You will need some sort of syringe for this. I got mine from the same pharmacy, you will also need to extend the nozzle on the syringe so that you can reach the bottom of the bottle as it gets used up. I use aquarium air hose, about 3ins is all you need. All you need to do now is add a few drops of flavouring, let it steep overnight and away you go with a 9mg mix.
I didn't see any apple flavouring the last time I went but you could try adding something else, apple and lemon sounds nice and so does apple and vanilla.
You can even mix up zero strength using the stuff you get at the supermarket and experiment with different flavour mixes without wasting your valuable nicotine juice.
