Well let me just say I got a DSE 901 3 or 4 nights ago from a guy at work that sells them, and I am madly in love with this thing. After a lot of research here (so much good info. Thanks a ton!) and on a few other sites, along with taking a few drags off of a friend's unit, I decided to bite the bullet and jump on it.

I've been a smoker for almost 12 years. I'm really starting to feel the effects kick in. Taking a breather after a flight of stairs, out of breathe after a short run, breathing hard between songs (i'm a drummer).

I've had 3 analogs since I got it, only due to the fact that the guy only had RY4 left, and I miss my menthol. I ordered some menthol and watermelon liquid though and I'm expecting that to come in tomorrow.

I've tried to quit so many times and with so many different methods. My main problem is really just that I love to smoke and I always have. Being able to do so now without the whole slew of negative effects is a dream come true. It doesn't feel EXACTLY the same as far as the unit having some weight to it, but it's close enough to keep me satisfied. I've been getting a pretty decent throat hit, and actually it was a little too much my first day or two. After a while getting used to it though it's gotten a lot easier to manage. I tried one of the pre-filled high-nic carts first, which not only was way too much but tasted like used motor oil, But when I filled up a cart with the RY4 and popped it in I knew I had found the method for me. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I'm hooked.

And I just want to tell you all, while you didn't know it at the time, it was all of you guys that convinced me to switch. Thanks a ton.

hi blackhawk welcome to the forum. I did the same as you, i read in here for 3 weeks before making my first purchase, that was 6 months ago. As for the weight of the e-cig, i started with a 401, then 510 and now an ego. Each new one got heavier but it has not been a problem at all, you'll get use to it. You going to have fun trying out different juices from different sellers, there are sooo many. good luck...

Welcome to the forum! I, too am a noob. I have the 901, and it is my new best friend. I am still smoking analogs, but they are getting fewer and farther apart. I am experimenting with DIY liquids, and once I find the right flavors I like, the analogs will be history. Your comment about the "used motor oil" was my exact thought on the prefilled carts! Yuk! You will learn so much from this forum and have lots of support. So, hang in there.

Hey thanks for the support! What I really like best about my new PV is my ability to use it inside, and the amount of questions I get about it. People seem to really love the idea.

ONE question though. Which suppliers should I be suggesting? I've been throwing vaporkings out to people since they were super-awesome and gave me a coupon code for 10% off my next order in my juice/atty/passthrough/empty carts order. Any others I should be suggesting to people?

But yeah as a smoker of 12 years, I'm happy to be off analogs. I feel so much better already.

Welcome to ECF and the world of vaping Blackhawk! :)

As far as which company, if you are happy with Vapor Kings and are comfortable recommending them, by all means do so. You could also print up some cards with the ECF address and let people know that they can get all the info they need on the forums. Since there are so many different styles of e-cigs, each have their own pluses and minuses, and everyone has different requirements, it's easier, at least at first, to let people do their own research I think. All of the suppliers in the suppliers forums are ECF approved, and companies that don't retain a certain level of customer service don't get listed here.
