Hi all,
I'm glad to find this forum. Great to meet every one.
I found this forum by chance. I originally was looking up (portee) and how it may effect me getting my package.
Some of the reports were not good. I ordered a E-cigar from a place in China. So Today (6/16/11) this morning, from USPS tracking, I found it is in Portee.
So, being in the US at Port,I wounder if the package may be held up because they see where it is from and may be a e-cigar. Because a lot of people have been complaining that there cigs have been at port for a couple weeks or no updates from USPS untill the package dose get to them.
I did see the sticky of the FDA will comply to the law about e-cigs. So there should be no problem with shipping.

The other question (if it is o.k. to answer), where is the best seller in the US to buy E-cigars that look real? Sorry if this has been touched on before. If so please direct me to the right post. Thanks all.

Welcome to ECF!

For some reason, e-cigars have become a bit scarce. I bought mine from China about 2 years ago (from Eastmall) but even they don't carry them anymore. These are the only US sellers I could find:
DSE-701 e-Cigar Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit [DSE-701 Kit] - $44.99 : ValueVapor.com, Discount Electronic Cigarettes and e-Liquid
Disposable e-cigar - $6.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce (Disposable e-cigar)
Electronic Cigar | Buy Disposable and multi-use E-Cigars
Dse 701 Electronic Cigar Starter Kit with 5 cartridges

I've learned not to get too ramped up about shipments from China. Things have really changed since the FDA backed down and the decision was made that e-cigs are not drug delivery devices. Small packages usually have no problems anyway. What you'll see is that it's been turned over to customs. This is an example of what you'll see as your package moves through:
Detailed Results:

Inbound Out of Customs, May 05, 2009, 2:51 pm
Inbound Into Customs
Inbound International Arrival, May 04, 2009, 10:40 pm, ISC SAN FRANCISCO (USPS)
Foreign International Dispatch, May 03, 2009, 9:26 am, XIAMEN EMS, CHINA PEOPLES REP
Origin Post is Preparing Shipment
Foreign Acceptance, May 02, 2009, 5:00 pm

It can take just a few hours, or a few days to go through customs. If it goes over a week, it's lost or there is a problem. As long as your China seller labeled the package correctly (and didn't note it as a toy or pen) you'll probably get notice that it's on the way to you soon.

Also, don't worry if it says "handed over to customs" - this is normal procedure but the wording freaks most people out the first time they see it (it did me, ha). Most orders from China arrive to your door within about 9 days.
