Alright, technically I made my account a week ago, but lurked for a bit. Figured it would be a good time to introduce myself and be a little active in the community.

I'm a 21 year old Smoker who has had off and on experiences with electronic cigarettes. I started with Royal Smoke in 2011, and when I realized how crazy the cartridges cost at the time (I was smoking little cigars for about 8 dollars a carton, so 20 dollars for 10 cartridges was nuts) I switched to a Vaper's Corner e-cig, as suggested by a family member. It got lost when moving (oh no!) and I stopped vaping until recently. My father has a lot of medical issues, and he (finally) got an oxygen tank in the house. Everyone here got e-cigs a few weeks back, and when we actually decide to smoke we go outside now (for obvious reasons). Everyone is currently using generic 1100MaH batteries (They say SHISHA TIME but can't really find the exact battery online), with CE5 clearomizers. These were purchased locally. However, I just ordered a LavaTube Mini, which I have tried previously and enjoyed.

My goal is to slowly reduce my e-liquid intake until I hit 0mg and officially be done smoking, eventually adding vaping to a list of hobbies that include gaming and writing. In the last two weeks, I've gone from using 24mg e-liquid to 18mg, and plan on buying some 12 or 6mg when I run out :p

Anyway, that's the wall of text introducing myself. This looks like an amazing community and I look forward to interacting with people!

Hello, welcome and good luck!!! Just make sure that you don't cut back too soon on the nic because it may leaving you craving a cigarette. Best way to avoid cravings is to keep a bottle of higher nic juice around for stressful situations and if needed to kill off cravings!!!

I would recommend keeping a little "High Octane" sitting around for a while when you step down. I did it too fast at first and found myself going crazy on the lower nic. Plus, nights of drinking (when is the only time I ever think of cigarettes) were quite difficult.

You can always mix it down. 50% - 18mg + 50% 6mg = 12mg.......50% 18mg + 50% 0mg = 9

Thanks everyone :D

I actually have a bottle of 24 (menthol) and a bottle of 6 (clove) sitting around. Doesn't sound like the best combo but I can mix them and that can work in a pinch. I figure if I give myself a few weeks before stepping down it won't be as bad, but you never know.

You would be surprised what can taste good to you, even though it may not sound very appetizing. That is not to say it would taste good either but.....hey.

I mix my pre-made flavors pretty often. I keep the extra bottles from juices I have used, clean them out, dry them and just mess with stuff. Play with the ratios too. Using 2/3 of your clove and 1/3 of your menthol will give you 12mg and 3/4 to 1/4 would give you 10.5mg. Some flavors are strong and you can get away with just a small amount to give you a good balance.

I have a blunt syringe that has measurements on it which is handy. I use an old camera film case to mix small amounts to try (that equal 1ml). If it is good, I make more.

That would be a good way to try. What brand(s) do you use? My Menthol is Liqua and my clove (as well as the strawberry I normally vape) is a cheapy brand (I think... SmokeSmart, it was like 4.99 buy 2 get one free at the smoke shop I go to).

As for everyone else thanks again for the welcome and for my dad's well wishes! He had two strokes last year and the oxygen is helping him out a ton, so that + quitting is for the best I think :p

I really only buy juice from a local B&M and Vapedudes. There are a good number of good vendors online though. I have seen Mt. Vapers, Heather's Heavenly Vapes and etc.

I buy from Vapedudes because they make their juice in the US with US products (and you get the ingredients on the bottle) but lots of others do this as well. They also have 200 different flavors and I don't like having tons of vendors with my credit card info (I am weird like that).

I've heard good things about Vapedudes and MBV. I've already picked out 5 or 6 flavors of juice I want from both. I think I'm going with MBV this time. I was into Kick Bass vapor's OMG for months, it's awesome. I've tried Sweet Vapes, like the Snickerdoodle a lot but not so much the others I ordered. Plus, they are pricey. ECBlends has great prices and their TM'd dragon series juices are good. I love their Dragon's Milk.
