eGo Variable Volt/Watt APV (only Body) $39.00

APV2.jpg

It is the latest multipurpose APV with the following impressing attributes.

1. The APV can work not only with 1pc 18650 li-ion battery but also 2pc 18350 li-ion battery. No need to change battery caps. If you want a short one, you can remove a short metal tube and use only 1pc 18350 li-ion battery.

2. The APV has 2 kinds of models for your choices. You can swtich one model to the other model easily.

Model 1: constant voltage. In this model, APV adjusts from 3.0 to 6.0 Volts in .1 volt increments.

Model 2: constant power. In this model, APV adjusts from 3.0 to 15 Watts in .5 Watt increments.

3. The APV can check and display the atomizer's resistance.

4. The APV can check and display the li-ion batteries'voltage.

5. Like Vmax, APV has a 510/eGo threading and can work well on most atomizers with 510/eGo threading including eGo Vision clearomizers V2.

The APV comes with only body. You need to install batteries before using.

Both Joyetech 2200mah 18650 Li-ion battery and Unprotected 18350 Li-ion battery can fit the APV.
Is the Ego APV made by Joytech? When are you getting more?

For the price I can't complain. Is there any type of warrantee?DOA replacement?

Will the Vmax Variable Voltage Battery MOD V2 work with just 1 Unprotected 18650 Li-ion Battery or is it only for use with 2-18350's?
Will the Joyetech 18650 2200mah fit it?

Vmax only uses two 18350 batteries. As for the ego apv the joye 18650 can fit.

These type of mods have built in protection through the PCB. You do not want to use protected batteries in mods like this. Protected batteries should be used in purely mechanical mods, but not in electronic mods such as this. The batteries built in protection can interfere with proper operation of the mod. Also, "squeezing" in a longer, protected battery puts unnecessary pressure on the PCB which can lead to device failure due to a broken solder joint.

I hear what you're saying Jack but when it comes to putting a battery near my mouth and pretty much firing what is essentially a short circuit combined with the whole "exploding batteries" thing (yes I am aware this is only in series) but still I don't exactly trust an unknown Chinese brand. (Not that I have anything against Chinese stuff it's just that I AM Chinese...and I know how much we like to make money, sometimes overlooking the most important bits)

I'm going to keep my eye on this one ... I'll wait for reviews and extensive testing before pulling the trigger.
Don't want to buy it only to find out there are major issues or the thing dies after 6 months.

After ecf discount if it lasts you six months you only paid about $6 a month for it. Cheap enough to be considered disposable. If you get more than six months out of it then it is a real bargain. Warranty is 90 days and HC is good about customer service. This is like the electronics game. If you keep waiting then you wind up never buying anything.

I've been using mine all day in single 18350 mode and I'm pretty impressed. It seems to be dead on to my Ego twist when in Vrms mode. It is quite a beast in Vavg mode, just like you would imagine. My voltage load tester will be here either Saturday or Monday, so I will get to play with that soon and make some graphs.
