Not quite sure what your question is, but I'll make an attempt to provide an answer.

Not all eGo batteries are created equal concerning their electrical output. Unregulated batteries will give their designated full power (ie 3.7 volts) when fully charged, but as the battery's charge is depleted during use, that power output will decline until it no longer is able to produce vapor (ie probably around 3.3 volts. You'll likely notice the drop off in vapor during the course of using that battery.

Regulated batteries will deliver their designated full power up until the battery needs to be re-charged. You won't notice any drop off in vapor production. Obviously these are more preferred.

So I now have a kanger t3 tank and really loving it. Today at work I took a meter reader to my battery and it shows it is pushing out 3.5 volts when I press the ON button.

Is this what it should be pushing out?

Hi again Cnm, Well with the info you have provided, I'm going to guess that you charged this battery and then used it for some of the day until you got to the piont of metering the device. If this is the case then you likely have an unregulated 3.7v mod. That type of unit should show an output of ~4to ~4.2v fresh off the charger, the discharge curve of these batteries falls rather quickly from their fully charged voltage to right around 3.7v and does most of its discharge within this range. Then as the battery nears the end of its discharge cycle it will taper drastically down to ~3.3v where it should tell you that its time to charge the battery(blinking light/cease output).... If this describes your experience then you have an unregulated eGo clone.

If you metered the battery fresh off the charger and obtained the 3.5v then you most likely have a regulated eGo clone battery.

With your 3.5volts and the t3at 2.4Ω (from other thread) you are vaping at ~5.1 watts. You could get a little better flavor performance from the 1.8Ω head , this would produce ~6.8watts of output which may help you with your particular low-flavor situation. Some folks find a little more output power(wattage) to be just the piece missing in their particular vape puzzle. Good Luck. Happy vaping

Thanks for all the information guys.

Yes, I had used it for probably about 3 hours when I tested it. Didn't realize it drops off. And yes again, I get good vape while on green, but as soon as the light hits yellow it def does not vape as well. (More airy)?

I guess my original point was making sure I don't have a battery thats putting out to much power and possibly causing me to burn wicks quicker.

So looks like I might be in the market for a new battery LOL. I knew this would happen :D

Now another question.

It was mentioned in another thread about using an Atty with my carto? So how does this work? Can I just buy a replaceable middle piece for my kt3 that is an Atty instead of the wick piece? I'm sure both of these have a specific name but not sure what they are called. I'm wanting to experiment with this type of intake to see if I enjoy it better. I like they idea of an atty but would prefer to still have a tank.

When you buy replacement atties for the T3, it gives you the whole piece you screw off when you add juice, so you just replace it, the guy saying a 1.8 ohm atty is talking about the whole bottom piece, i think they are about 2 or 3 dollars each, i've found that I feel more comfortable with 5 packs of atties if they are replaceable, so I'm not left with nothing to vape if they crap out

Welcome , but the replaceable wick and coil for the Kanger T3 is one , that is inserted in the bottom of the tank . Where as the Kanger Evod , uses the smaller ( cheaper ) replacement head . The tank is smaller , but as said earlier , you would be wise to maybe use either of these devices with the 1.8 ohm , rater than the 2.4 . Good Luck . When you get ready to upgrade , try a Vamo . VV and Vw , reads the ohms on the device , as well as remaining battery power . If you can wait for a few weeks . There is a vendor ( name escapes me right now ) but I'm sure someone will come along and tell you . The SS Vamo , is only 29.00 ( from China ) that's the reason for the delay in getting it . Or you can but them , locally for around 50.00 . Then your 2.4's will work great . Good Luck .

Hi Again Cnm. So There is an atty (of sorts) in your device. The coil and wick forms the basis of what an atomizer does. Most atomizers are built similar. They all have a coil , most have a wick running through the coil almost all of them have a ceramic cup that holds that assembly in the center under a bridge surrounded by stainless mesh..... But you cant use an atomizer inside your tank. The atomizer most often referred to here are something like this 510atomizer.jpg This is a whole different device from what you are already accustomed to. You need to manually fee this by dripping a few drops down on the coil and bridge. Then place drip tip back on end and vape a few draws, then repeat drip/vape.......

You are fine with that battery. If the performance is good, then use it. If you like the way it vapes at a certain point in the day , then just meter the output at that point and shop for a replacement based upon that number(target voltage)... As far as finding a new battery, a spinner or twist would be my first recommendation due to the fact that it is regulated and adjustable over a fairly wide voltage range. Second that with the fact that the spinner is a similar size when compared to what you are accustomed to and has the eGo threading that fits your beloved t3..Or there is also the next step beyond the eGo batteries and jump straight into a mod like the Vamo or Anyvape or Zmax or........... Hope that helps a litttle. Happy Vaping.

Good suggestion on the Vamo. A definite upgrade from an ego and saves you money. eGo batteries = $25+; Vamo batteries = $11.
