Well, the LED indicator simply tells you when you are at 3.6V. That's it (essentially as if your car had an LED that simply told you that you have 30 miles left before you're dry). I don't care whether it's numeric (a phone battery-style indicator would be fine), but something more graded would be nice. What I don't get is that innokin's other mods actually give that numeric info (VV, MVP, etc.). I'm sure this will show up in v2.

If it does, AND they change the build material from brass to stainless steel or aluminum...then they will get my $$$. The looks/functionality is great, but they really missed the mark with weight and no batt life meter.

MVP V1 only has green-yellow-red. No digital battery indicator.

MVP V2 has voltage status (press P and U buttons and it will show you Resistance and battery voltage). I don't know if that is also the case for V1. But it's not like Innokin is unaware of the usefulness of that reading.

Also, I forgot to ask... Does the VTR take flat tops, button tops, or does it matter (batteries)?

I'm using FLAT tops and they work.

Also for carto tank lovers I picked up a Smoketech Pyrex DCT[FONT=arial, sans-serif]ank. It took about a half hour of filing with a round steel file but I crammed it in.

6mls of carto goodness

I assume filing it down exposes the brass? How thin can you make the ring?

Pictures of the filed area?

Thanks...
As far as I know it is solid brass so you are not really exposing anything - not sure what you mean. For this tank, it was probably less than a mm taken off. You could take off as much as yo want but you are weakening the ring so obviously it may crack at some point

Yes that was the question....thanks

I think the ring might be stainless steel - I didn't see any color change. I did scratch the inner part of the grooved tank area while I was filing and I do think you can see some yellow coming thru. The inside of the ring just looks scratched up, but you can't see either of these areas with the tank in.

For me - I am much more concerned about the utlility than the look, but it looks great with the tank in.

I just got mine today and am waiting for my batteries to charge, but the instructions do say that if your press and hold the select button to get the Ohm reading, and then press and release the select button again, it will show the voltage of the battery.

It's brass, I took rough sandpaper to all three sections and removed the plating, it is brass.

Have you got a photo? Mine has a deep scratch inside the ring, and the peak of the battery cap has been ground back, and I have to say - it looks like stainless steel to me.

Looks much like the MVP end fittings... with one interesting difference: no CE mark

While I don't know what the manual says, it is very clear from several video reviews that pressing the button does indeed show you the Ohms, but then switches to the mode settings. Depending on which mode you're in, you will see the voltage or power SETTING. Nowhere has anyone shown that you can get the battery voltage READING. That's a very important difference. You can only see the voltage you are setting, but not the actual battery voltage.
