And those coils are awesome. I have them in my eGrips and they are excellent.

Only had that problem when the rba post screws or positive airtube screw wasn't tight. Keep us posted on your findings dawg...
Cig, when you say positive air tube, do you mean the tube inside the egrip itself? I feel like one of mine could be loose because every time I pull the coil base out the grommet on the rba tip is crooked or pulled off totally... and whats a good way to tighten it?
Sorry, this might be somewhere in the forum, does anyone would possibly let me know how to clean the eGrip?

Dawg was having intermittent electrical connection probs if I recall. The pos pin on the egrip rba is the small screw in the bottom of the rba base. Just so happens it doubles as the rba airtube as well, like most rbas. That piece is what holds the rba deck in place. Threads into it. Making sure that it's tight will ensure good electrical connection.
The seal on the rba chimney cap sometimes comes off on mine too when removing the rba. Sometimes the seal and the chimney cap stay in the tank when I remove the rba. Not much we can do about that. Design issue. Pretty easy to fish out with a paper clip or small screwdriver though. Little nuances like this leave room for design improvements but I still love my Egrip.
Wonder if we can super glue that seal back down to the cap. It had to have some kinda glue on it when it was new because it never came off for a month or so for me. Now it's off everytime I open it up. The cap too half the time. I don't wanna glue the cap but the seal I would if I didn't think it would cause any problems, like tasting the glue for one.
And this magical screw I keep reading about? Where the hell is it again?![]()
I only see the 4 screws on each corner of the top cover. I will find the right driver to pull them out and see what I see. Thanks! I thought this magical screw for some reason was in the RBA base.Ray, don't know of any glue that will secure silicone. Wouldn't use super glue. Hate to think of the health risks.
Ah yes, the magic screw. Hidden screw. On some egrips there is a fifth screw holding the top cover. It secures the top cover from inside the egrip body. You won't know if you have the fifth hidden screw until you remove the four on the top cover and try to remove it. The top cover will only move up off the body about 1mm and stop if you have the hidden screw. Like I said, some have the fifth screw and some don't.
If yours has the fifth screw you can pry the top cover off; essentially stripping out the screw from the cover BUT, then you have metal shavings floating around in your egrip. Those shavings shorted out my control board.
So, if you remove the four top cover screws and it comes off easily you can remove your tank and seals for a more thorough cleaning. If it doesn't come off because of the hidden screw I would just put the four screws back in and leave it.
Lol...I think Cig is looking for that screw-like whachamathingy in the bottom of the rba-base. So look at the bottom of the rba-base, at the airhole. You'll see a line across the airhole, that will accommodate a large screwdriver very nicely. Use it to tighten the screw.
