Hey so I’m new to this forum, just signed up to see if anyone has advice for me. I recently bought my first mod. A SMOK G-Priv 3, I like it a lot. I started off with my first juice as Coastal Clouds Iced Mango Berries at 6mg, and I absolutely love it. So I saw this other juice that caught my eye, Screwbacco by the Steam Factory, I was interested in the tobacco flavor as well as the strawberry and thought i would like it. I decided to order it with 12mg of nicotine because my tolerance is quite high and I didn’t realize that it would affect the taste. Once I purchased it and tasted it it was extremely harsh and barely any flavor from the juice. I let my friend try it and he agreed it was unusually harsh. Maybe it’s my fault for getting it with 12mg nicotine? Other people online loved the juice and I was really suprised it was like this. Any recommendations to fix this issue? I don’t think my coils are burnt at all, I swapped them out and tried both my dual mesh .15 and single .2 coils, along with varying wattages. The juice is 75Vg and 25pg. If someone who knows more than me would suggest something I would appreciate it, thanks.

Hi and welcome!
if you are sure your coils are not burnt, and want to make sure the harsh taste is because of high nicotine level, you can dilute small amount of your e-juice with the same ratio of pg/vg in 1:1 proportion. this way you get approx 6 mg nic instead of 12 mg nic and can check if the reason is nic level. but remember that in this case you twice lower the flavour. So this way is not really good, because if you know the problem reason, you still need to add flavour to your e-juice.

VG/PG ratios can make a big difference. It could also be the flavoring that seems harsh I guess.

Are both of your juices freebase nicotine? If the first one was nic salts (it might not be I am speculating) I suppose it's possible the harshness could come from the nicotine. Or, different batches of nicotine age/type/manufacturer can also cause changes. Newer made juices that haven't steeped can taste harsh to some folks too I think. Is there a manufactured on date on the bottles? There are many things which could do it, so the more info the better for this question, I think?
